Midland Alan-42 DS handheld radio. This compact portable radio features a CB function and can easily be configured for vehicle use. The Alan-42 includes an automatic noise canceler and a battery-saving system.
The radio's large display facilitates operation and shows active functions. Alan-42 DS is designed to function in temperatures ranging from -10 to 55 °C.
In addition to the automatic noise-canceling system, it offers manual adjustment options (SQ). It allows listening to two frequencies at once (Dual Watch) and offers channel scanning. The Alan-42 DS is also equipped with NB/ABL noise filters, quick access to the EMG emergency channel, and a push-button lock feature.
The radio operates on six AA batteries or eight 1.2V rechargeable batteries.
