Constructed from premium polyamide, it features a durable outer shell and insulating G-Loft filling.

The usage temperatures of the Carinthia Tropen sleeping bag are defined according to EN 13537:

• T-comfort: 9.4 C – the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably through the night,
• T-limit: 5.1 C – the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep without discomfort,
• T-extreme: -7.9 C – the lowest temperature for survival. Not recommended for regular use.

The exterior is crafted from lightweight, water-resistant Shelltrans fabric, which envelops the inner layer to create a highly effective insulation barrier. Inside, it features polyamide, renowned for its minimal moisture absorption and superior resistance to mechanical damage.

The inside is equipped with synthetic G-Loft insulation, ensuring a consistent temperature is maintained. This material preserves its insulating qualities even after extensive use, washing, or contact with moisture. The addition of the Thermoflect layer boosts insulation by reflecting body heat back into the sleeping bag.

The foot area features trapezoidal shaping that enhances thermal comfort and leg space, effectively aiding in heat retention in the lower section of the bag.

The Tropen model works well as an inner layer when combined with other sleeping bags. This setup increases the system’s thermal efficiency while allowing excess moisture to escape. The user can enjoy thermal comfort even in temperatures as low as -20 C. The Sleeping Bag System - Defence 4 technology and applied fabrics ensure low weight and compact packing size.

The sleeping bag features a two-way zipper on the left side, allowing it to be fully opened. Thanks to the Anti Snag system, the fabric does not get caught during zipping. A Velcro flap at the top prevents the zipper from opening unintentionally during sleep.

The hood located at the top of the sleeping bag enhances thermal comfort by enclosing the head and shielding it from the cold. Its ergonomic design offers extra protection against moisture and wind. A built-in mosquito net in the front flap, equipped with snap buttons, encircles the hood via a zipper to efficiently guard the user against insects.

When packed, the sleeping bag takes up little space, making it easy to carry and store. Its packed dimensions are 19 x 25 cm, and the weight is 1300 g, allowing comfortable transport without unnecessary burden.

The set includes a compression sack with snap buckles, protecting the sleeping bag during transport and shielding it from dirt and mechanical damage.
