Volven Air Thermo Single Mattress - Blue

Universal inflatable single mattress in a blue colour scheme, made from durable and tear-resistant 30D polyester with Rip-Stop reinforcement. The thermal insulation coefficient R-Value of 4.2 allows it to be used even in low-temperature conditions. When folded, the mattress takes up little space and can be easily attached to travel gear or stored, for instance, in a backpack.

The model features a thermal insulation coefficient of R-Value 4.2, compliant with the ASTM F3340-18 standard. This parameter defines the level of insulation from the ground - the higher the value, the better the limitation of heat loss.

Interpretation of R-Value values used in the outdoor industry:

• 1.0-2.0 - use in summer conditions (night temperatures above approx. 10 deg. C),
• 2.1-3.5 - spring-summer-autumn use (approx. 0-10 deg. C),
• 3.6-5.0 - cool conditions, close to 0 deg. C and negative temperatures down to approx. -5 /-10 deg. C,
• 5.1-7.0 - winter use, temperatures below 0 deg. C,
• above 7.0 - winter conditions with increased insulation requirements.

Actual thermal comfort depends on the sleeping configuration (sleeping bag, clothing), type of ground, and user’s personal resistance to cold.

The outer layer is made from lightweight 30D polyester with Rip-Stop reinforcement, preventing tears.

The inner synthetic insulation layer with a grammage of 60 g/m2 has been supplemented with aluminium insulation inserts. Thanks to this, the mattress not only provides good insulation from the ground but also reflects heat back to the body.

Cover with pump function allows for quick and easy inflation of the mattress, the double airtight valve facilitates air deflation and also prevents uncontrolled leakage. The set also includes a kit for small repairs.
