Military Rye Bread with 24 months shelf life - 5 x 700 g
A package of 5 loaves of rye bread weighing 700 g. The bread is made from rye flour with a blend of wheat flour. With an extended shelf life of 24 months, it can be stored for a long time. The double foil layer in the packaging protects it from moisture and other external factors, while maintaining its unchanged taste throughout the storage period. This type of bread was frequently used by the Polish Armed Forces during peacekeeping operations and by Civil Defence services during natural disasters.
Extended shelf life and refreshing methods
The extended shelf life of 24 months allows for long-term storage of the bread. The packaging consisting of two foil layers effectively protects the product from moisture and other external influences, allowing the flavour to remain unchanged throughout the storage period.
During its shelf life, the bread can be easily refreshed in various ways:
- in a microwave - remove the outer foil packaging, place the bread in the microwave for 3 minutes on 900 W, then remove the inner foil and slice,
- in an oven - after removing the outer foil, place the bread in an oven preheated to 90-100 deg. C for about 30 minutes, after removing the inner foil and cooling, slice the bread,
- in a toaster - after removing both foil layers, slice the bread and place it in the toaster,
- in water - without removing the foil, immerse the bread in water at 90 deg. C for about 30 minutes, after cooling, remove from the packaging, slice after another 20 minutes,
- in a flameless chemical warmer - without removing the foil, place the loaf in the warmer, pour the chemical insert with the appropriate amount of water.
Product ingredients
Thanks to its composition, the bread has over 30% more fibre compared to wheat bread. It also features a high content of B-group vitamins, including niacin, and vitamin E.
