A collection of 5 rye bread loaves, each weighing 700 g. Crafted from rye flour with a wheat flour blend, this bread benefits from an extended shelf life of up to 24 months, allowing for long-term storage. The packaging, which comprises two layers of foil, effectively safeguards the bread from moisture and external elements, ensuring the flavor remains intact over the entire storage duration. Such bread has frequently been utilized by the Polish Armed Forces in peacekeeping missions and by Civil Defense during natural emergencies.

Extended shelf life, refreshment methods

With an extended shelf life of up to 24 months, the bread can be stored for a prolonged period. The packaging includes two layers of film that effectively shield it from moisture and other external elements, while also preserving its flavor throughout the storage duration.

During its shelf life, the bread can be easily refreshed using several methods:

  • Using the microwave - After taking off the outer film, place the loaf in the microwave for 3 minutes at 900 W. Then, remove the inner film and slice the bread.
  • Using the oven - After removing the outer film, put the loaf in an oven preheated to 90-100°C for about 30 minutes. After removing the inner film and letting it cool, slice the bread.
  • Using a toaster - Once both films are removed, slice the bread and place it in the toaster.
  • Using water - Keep the film on and immerse the bread in water at 90°C for about 30 minutes. After it cools, take it out of the film and slice it after another 20 minutes.
  • Using a flameless chemical warmer - Without removing the film, place the loaf in the heater and pour the designated amount of water onto the chemical insert.
