The sharpening itself is excellent, just a few minutes and you can shave. Unfortunately, I noticed two drawbacks — the first is that the surface of the stone is not perfectly smooth, you can feel distinct gaps and there are three grooves across the sharpening stone. The second drawback is the attachment to the base – already during the first installation the stone came off, and glue residue was left on the surfaces, as very little was used. Fortunately, I managed to catch the stone before it fell apart.

It can be used as part of a sharpening system, but it will also work as an independent stone – I personally use it for finishing blades.

This is the stone I reach for most often when smoothing. When I have my dream knife, I plan to buy the 10,000 gradation version with a larger surface.

After a while, the glue gave way, but that's a minor issue – it was enough to glue it again. The stone itself has a very smooth surface, so it's great for polishing the blade.
