Breathable TrekDry material with touchscreen compatibility

The top part of the gloves is made from lightweight, breathable Form-fitting TrekDry fabric, which helps reduce hand sweat. The palm area features durable synthetic leather that provides a reliable grip and excellent tactile sensitivity, allowing touchscreen use without removing the gloves. The thumb and index finger are reinforced with an extra layer of material for enhanced durability.

Strong, adjustable clasp made of TPR

The cuff is secured with a TPR strap (Thermoplastic Rubber, meeting EN 13594 standards), fastened with Velcro to ensure a secure fit.

Protection standard EN388-2121X

The gloves meet the EN388-2121X protective standard for resistance to mechanical risks, which means:

2: abrasion resistance (on a scale of 0–4)
1: cut resistance (on a scale of 0–5)
2: tear resistance (on a scale of 0–4)
1: puncture resistance (on a scale of 0–4)
X: cut resistance – TDM test (ISO 13997) (on a scale of A–F)

The scales specified in the EN388 standard define the level of glove protection: a value of 0 indicates no protection, while the highest values (4, 5) indicate the maximum level of resistance.

In testing using the TDM method (ISO 13997), letter markings are used, where A indicates the lowest level of protection and F the highest.

The X marking indicates that the given parameter was not tested or is not applicable.

When it comes to gloves, for me Mechanix are unbeatable. Besides this model, I also recommend the 4x Leather or something similar. While working in construction, I used Mechanix gloves – one pair lasted me over half a year, while others had to buy new 'vampire' gloves for 10 PLN every one and a half weeks. I believe there are no better gloves than Mechanix – you just need to choose the right model ;)

I chose this particular model based on the recommendation of a bushcrafter I know – I use them both for camp tasks and while working near the fire. Not as comfortable as Mechanix once were, but I like the extra features Mechanix have added like the textured grip around the thumb, handy for scratching an itchy nose and the surprisingly good touchscreen ability. The gloves are comfortable and fit perfectly to my hand (in the past I had Mechanix in this size, which were a bit too bulky). The opening for the hand is wide enough, so I don't have to struggle when putting them on, and once fastened with the Velcro, they stay securely on my hand.
