Great jacket with plenty of pockets and careful workmanship. Its appearance can be appealing. As for the sizing, I have mixed feelings – in my opinion, military clothing should have a little extra room, like the Helikon Patriot fleece, which is quite spacious. With this jacket, as well as other Pentagon brand softshells, the sizes are more suited to slimmer people. I had to order size 2XL just to fasten it at the chest, which makes the jacket seem too long for my height of 180 cm. Despite this, I am still satisfied. The description on the website is a bit misleading – the “fleece lining” is sewn in permanently and is not removable. It is a thin, pleasant-to-the-touch fleece, which cannot be detached or inserted.

A multi-season Softshell jacket offering protection against adverse weather conditions. It features a waterproof polyurethane membrane and sturdy YKK zips. It is ideal for use by uniformed services such as the Army, Police or Border Guard.
The jacket is made from a fabric combining durable polyester and elastic spandex, which has been additionally waterproofed, making it resistant to dirt and permanent stains. The inner membrane effectively protects against rain – raindrops do not penetrate the fabric but remain on its surface. The fleece lining provides adequate thermal insulation.
A drawcord hood, concealed within the high collar, protects the head from the cold and wind. A drawcord at the waist and Velcro-adjustable cuffs allow the jacket to be tailored to the wearer’s build. Ventilation openings under the arms ensure optimal ventilation and thermoregulation.
The model features 8 pockets:
- two chest pockets with space for documents/ID,
- two side pockets with internal compartments and D-rings,
- two on the sleeves at shoulder height with cable grommets,
- one on the left forearm,
- one so-called ‘poacher’s pocket’ - on the lower back.
The chest pockets are fitted with concealed ID panels for ID cards or documents. A special zip opening on the hip facilitates access to a gun holster. Velcro panels on the shoulders allow for the attachment of any emblems, e.g. a national flag, unit insignia or so-called Morale Patches.

The jacket is very comfortable and has many pockets and small compartments. If you plan to wear extra layers underneath, there is easily enough space for that, although the jacket itself provides plenty of warmth. It’s better to choose a smaller size than usual. In the end, I preferred the Softshell, so I returned the jacket.

Softshell of very good quality. It effectively protects against adverse weather conditions such as wind and rain. It has a comfortable fit and the hood is deep enough. I recommend it to people looking for this type of jacket.

This is an excellent jacket both for outdoor trips and for everyday use. It's warm and has many sensibly placed pockets. A big advantage is the hood hidden in the collar. The pockets are really roomy and have many inner compartments. I recommend it.

This is a great jacket, I am very satisfied with it. In my opinion, it is not suitable for frosts, but at around +5 degrees it works perfectly. It protects well against rain and wind. The pockets are practically placed and the zippered sides are a great solution. The price is also very attractive.

The jacket is really decent, with a high price-to-quality ratio. The fabric protects perfectly against the wind, so it does its job. The softshell will work during light rain, but let's remember that's not its main purpose. For civilian users, the chest pockets are convenient, as you can easily switch out inserts for your own homemade velcro. The downside is the zippers, which can get stuck, and the badly sewn sleeve pocket, which bends at the cuffs and is hard to access.

It fits very well, the pockets are skillfully placed, and it has lining on the inside. I wholeheartedly recommend it 100%.

I highly recommend this jacket. The size is perfectly matched, the pockets are practical, and inside there is a soft fleece. The quality of M-Tac workmanship deserves recognition. I definitely recommend it.
