Helikon-Tex Woodsman Trousers - Crimson Sky / Black

Durable and comfortable trousers in Crimson Sky / Black, from the Woodsman series, designed for bushcraft, survival, and outdoor activities. They feature 4 spacious pockets that enhance their functionality.

DuraCanvas fabric

The model is made from durable DuraCanvas fabric, consisting of 65% polyester, 33% cotton, and 2% elastane. The 230 g/m2 weight ensures high resistance to stretching, abrasion, and mechanical damage.

4 spacious pockets

The trousers are equipped with four functional pockets:

  • two classic pockets with reinforced edges
  • two side pockets positioned slightly towards the back

At knee level, inside the pant legs, there are reinforced pockets designed for inserting Low Profile Protective Pads.

Adjustable waistband, wide belt loops

Instead of a button, a wide hook-and-loop fastener is used, allowing for waistband adjustment within a 6 cm range. The wide belt loops accommodate belts up to 50 mm wide. Additionally, loops under the belt loops allow for attaching small accessories.

I am very happy with these trousers I use them everyday for walking my dog as I don't want to use my more expensive trousers during the muddy winter months. They are not the warmest trousers I own and on windy days you can feel the wind blowing right through them but for the price its hard to complain. I have always washed them inside out using the coldest setting using grangers active wash and they have retained their colour really well.

I have mixed feelings about these trousers: on one hand, they have several important advantages, but on the other, they also have significant drawbacks. I rate them 3 stars, considering the regular price. Advantages include: good cut, attractive appearance, legs of reasonable width, very comfortable front pockets, practical pockets at the back and on the side (useful, for example, for a knife), plenty of loops for hanging tools (though why so many as four, since the belt loops are sturdy?), noticeable material durability, a nice bushcraft-style logo, and the colour is fine. The main drawback for me is the unfortunate cut – when raising my legs, the trousers offer resistance, even though the legs are wide. Despite 2% elastane, the material is hardly elastic, which restricts movement. This causes problems, for example, when climbing over fallen trees or hiking uphill. Such limited freedom of movement completely disqualifies this model for outdoor use. I decided not to return them only because of a very large discount and my expiring loyalty points. Other issues include fairly noisy material, lack of a back pocket (even though there are as many as four loops – just two side loops would suffice), no front cargo pocket, no drawstring tunnel at the leg cuffs, and putting them on is uncomfortable because your foot catches on the stiff Velcro strip at the knee pocket. To sum up: the trousers look good, but I get the impression they weren’t tested outdoors by people who actually walk a lot. (Maybe the shop can pass my feedback to Helikon – it's a solid brand, but here I feel disappointed.) I’ll add that I also have other trousers from this company – the Helikon-Tex Trekking Tactical Pants VersaStretch – they are very comfortable, have excellent back pockets and are breathable thanks to the high elastane content. It’s just a pity that they’re made entirely of synthetic material, so they're not ideal in hot weather.

Hello, the trousers are amazing, the cut - very comfortable and non-restrictive, suitable for outdoor use, work and everyday wear, durable and strong, pleasant material, versatile use as always with Helikon. I recommend them.

Helikon Woodsman Trousers - Crimson Sky / Black. These are already my next pair of trousers from this brand. This time I went for the red and black version. I have three different colours and I like them all. It's just a shame that there isn't a traditional back pocket.

Helikon Woodsman Trousers - Taiga Green is an interesting model. Contrary to what some people say, they are not very thick. They work well at sub-zero temperatures during active movement, but if you plan to stand still for a long time, it's worth wearing something extra underneath.

The Helikon Woodsman trousers - Black are comfortable, but fit slightly tightly around the thighs and buttocks. I work out and run, but I'm not a bodybuilder. It's a pity they don't have traditional pockets at the back. Despite these minor comments, I already own three pairs in different colours, which probably speaks best for the product.

I bought the Helikon Woodsman trousers in Cloud Grey / Ash Grey and I'm very satisfied with this choice. They are very comfortable, fit well, and do not restrict movement. The material seems durable and is pleasant to use. They are perfect both for everyday wear and for outdoor activities. I highly recommend them!

Great pants. Comfy but sturdy made. I like the extra layer for the knees Great that the belly closes with velcro so the fit is easy adaptable Cool when hot and warm when chilly. I’ve got 3 pairs in total now. Love them Medium for a 1.69 and 73kg

I am 182 cm tall and weigh about 100 kg, I chose size XL. The trousers fit well, they are not as wide as cargo pants, and thanks to the elastic material they provide comfort and freedom of movement. The pockets are deep enough to comfortably carry a pocket knife without the risk of losing it.

Love the Woodsman range, started with the Anorak and very happy with these trousers. Tough material but comfortable with good range of movement. Option for knee pads real plus. Great value for quality product.

A very nice and functional pair of trousers – high quality – but they do come up relatively small. Suggestion for improvement: an option to adjust the hem width.

The trousers are very comfortable and pleasant to wear. Indeed, back pockets would be useful, but even without them, the trousers are still great. I chose XXL long and, although I had doubts about whether they would be too long, they fit perfectly (I am 196 cm tall – regular XXL would have been too short). The material is nice, and there is also a wide choice of colours. I definitely recommend them.

I am extremely satisfied with the purchase of these trousers. They look excellent and fit the figure perfectly. I am 185 cm tall and weigh 95 kg – size XL turned out to be ideal. I also appreciate the presence of an adjustable velcro instead of a button, which allows for a better fit. I recommend them!

Good, durable and practical trousers. Huge plus for the variety of colours and the option for protective pads. Quality – typical of Helikon, i.e. very good. Sizing is as expected. The only minus – no back pocket.

I've been using these trousers for almost a year on trips to the mountains or the woods, generally for various outings. As for resistance to fire, sparks, abrasions, and contact with the ground – they deserve a score of 10. I use original Helikon inserts. Above 10°C they get warm at the knees, but you can remove the inserts, so that's not a problem. In -12°C frost they keep you warm. Very comfortable and practical pockets, the velcros are great. The fly could actually be longer, but you can get used to it. To sum up, after wearing these out, I'll buy another pair. Someone once wrote that you could even wear them to a wedding – I confirm, I’ve done it myself. But not straight from the woods, just to be clear. The only downside is the 32 leg length – I miss the option of 30, I’m 176 cm tall and they’re a bit too long. But that can be solved too. I think Helikon should add the 30 option to every pair. I recommend them to everyone.
