The fleece is made of high-quality material. The material is more flexible than in the Patriot model, which means it fits the body better. It is quite long, but although the Patriot in size XS was appropriate, the MK2 model in size M turned out to be the best, providing a bit of freedom. A very comfortable and warm fleece. I hope the zippers will be durable.
Helikon Patriot MK2 Hybrid Fleece - wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland
Hooded sweatshirt sewn from high-quality fleece, which provides thermal insulation even at very low temperatures, while effectively wicking away excess heat and moisture. The use of two-layer Hybrid Fleece material with different properties allows you to achieve great thermal protection while remaining lightweight.
340 g/m2 grammage, reinforced sleeves
The outer layer is made of thick fleece with a grammage of 340 g/m2, while the inner layer is made of Grid Fleece with a mesh structure, which increases comfort and improves breathability. For optimal temperature regulation, zipped ventilation openings have been added under the arms. The cuffs are equipped with elastic drawstrings that adjust to the wrists.
Zip, extended cut
The sweatshirt is equipped with a two-way zip. The back is slightly extended, which effectively protects the lower back from the cool wind. The design allows easy access to pockets and equipment worn on the waistband. The hood is spacious enough to fit over a hat, and the soft visor prevents water from running down your face. The hood is sewn to the collar in a way that protects the neck from the wind, even when not worn. The shoulder pockets feature soft Velcro panels for attaching patches or emblems. Laser-cut panels with grommets allow you to wear additional accessories such as tactical pens or small torches.

- two chest pockets closed with zips
- two hip pockets closed with zips
- two shoulder pockets
- one inner open pocket
wz.93 Pantera camouflage pattern
The wz.93 Pantera camouflage pattern is currently used by the Polish Armed Forces. It was the first camouflage pattern designed and introduced for widespread use in the Third Republic of Poland. The 1993 pattern combines mimetic and deforming properties through the use of irregular spots of various sizes. The combination of green, brown, and black colours makes the Pantera the right answer to the question: what camouflage is the right choice for Polish forests? Uniforms in this camouflage are also required for students of Military Uniform Classes.

Polar is characterised by very good quality. The second version of the Patriot model fits better and the material is no longer as stiff. The jacket is quite long. I usually wear size XS in the standard version, but with this model, size M suited me. The colour is nice, the zip does seem weaker, but I hope it will be durable.

I'll put it this way: I tend to feel the cold, so in frosty weather I would look for something warmer or wear more layers, but at about 5°C in the forest with moderate activity, this fleece together with a thermal shirt and possibly a jacket (without insulation) worked great. I highly recommend it for such conditions.

The fleece provides pleasant warmth during autumn temperatures. It has many pockets. Unfortunately, in my piece, the main zip tends to get stuck and you need to hold the material inside more firmly to open it.
-
The fleece is indeed thinner and lighter than the previous model. I haven’t had a chance to test if there’s really any difference in warmth. The inside of the sleeves is finished with a grid pattern – similar to the Alpha model. The previous version had a looser fit, whereas Mk2 is more fitted – in my opinion that's an advantage. The Tiger Stripe camouflage looks fantastic in reality.

I can compare this fleece to its previous version, which I used for years. The new version is lighter, has a thinner material, and a much better lining. The hood has a better shape and reinforcement, and the extra hip pockets are very practical. Unfortunately, I had to return the MK2 and buy the previous model because the zip in the new version is hard to fasten – it seems I got a faulty piece. The elasticated cuffs didn’t work for me and the plastic toggles on the hood would dig into my neck when fastened. The new version is more fitted to the body, which not everyone will like. The black accent of the older model also looks better. I dream of an MK3 model combining the best features of both versions.

Very warm and durable, perfect for cooler days. The breathable material, practical pockets, and comfortable cut ensure comfort in the field.

Very good fleece – warm, comfortable, and at the same time well-breathable thanks to special panels. It has lots of functional pockets and is well made. It works great for everyday use and during outdoor activities. I definitely recommend it!

Very warm and well made, it works great on cooler days. The breathable material, practical pockets, and comfortable cut guarantee comfort when used outdoors.

As usual, Helikon maintains a high standard. I already have the Patriot 1, now I have decided on the MK2. This model is different, but it isn’t thinner, as some claim, because it has different inserts. It is certainly a bit more fitted at the waist and longer – which I see as a plus. The garment is very carefully designed and well made.

The Helikon Patriot Mk2 Hybrid Fleece is a fleece that really meets all expectations. The material is of very good quality – soft, pleasant to the touch, but also durable and resistant to everyday use. The Hybrid Fleece keeps you warm excellently while also providing good ventilation, making it comfortable even during movement. The cut is well thought out, fits perfectly, and the seams and details are carefully finished. The fleece is suitable both for outdoor use and for everyday wear, being a comfortable and practical choice. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, solid and warm fleece.

The fleece is very comfortable and warm, but the zips are a disaster – they're hard to use and very annoying to deal with. Other than that, it does its job, and you can wear it as either an outer layer or an extra layer under a jacket.
-
This fleece is a lifesaver for me on cold days – very well made, soft yet sturdy. The pockets are very conveniently placed. Combined with a Wolfhound jacket, I was comfortable even at -10°C.

I've never had such a warm fleece before. It is comfortable and perfect for winter. It has plenty of pockets and a ventilation system in the form of zips under the arms covered by breathable fabric, so you can open them without worrying about what's visible underneath. The pen holder on the sleeve is also very practical. In grey, it works great as low-profile clothing.

For me, the Patriot is a solid sweatshirt – you immediately feel that it’s not a cheap supermarket product. However, you have to remember it’s rather a warm option, so it might be too hot for spring.
