Eberlestock Mainframe Tall Backpack Frame - Mountain
The Eberlestock Mainframe is the primary frame of the EMOD system, constructed from lightweight aluminium and durable materials. It features an adjustable carrying system and built-in transport shelf, facilitating the transport of heavy loads. The design is compatible with Vapor 2500/5000/7500 backpacks, Batwings modules, and other accessories, serving as the foundation for a modular backpacking set.
The Mainframe Tall version is characterised by an extended frame, making it more suitable for individuals with a longer torso (over 48 cm).
durable construction
Construction is based on an aluminium framework, combining lightness with high durability. The rigid frame provides solid support for the carrying system and includes a built-in transport shelf, facilitating the transport of heavy baggage.
The Mainframe can function as an independent transport frame or operate in conjunction with EMOD series modules, allowing the construction of sets according to the expedition's nature - from a lightweight version to a full expedition backpack.
Carrying system, hip belt
The carrying system is based on a light aluminium frame, which transfers the weight to the hip belt and back, thereby relieving the user's shoulders. Adjustable straps allow the height of the harness to be adapted to the torso length, improving ergonomics.
Wide hip belt with soft padding stabilises the backpack and absorbs a significant portion of the load, increasing stability during walking. Shaped straps finished with mesh material enhance carrying comfort, especially during prolonged use.
On the hip belt, there are MOLLE system tapes, designed for attaching pockets and other accessories.
Attachment system to Mainframe
The Mainframe forms the base of the modular EMOD system and allows direct attachment of backpacks and accessories of this series to the construction. The connection is made using YKK zips and 25 mm Duraflex HD buckles, which fasten the backpack to the sides of the frame.
The system uses three cross compression straps with buckles, keeping the backpack stable against the frame or allowing it to be moved away, creating additional transport space. This solution enables the carrying of equipment or heavy loads close to the body's centre of gravity.
molle/pals panel
Along the entire length of the back of the frame, there is a laser-cut MOLLE/PALS panel, enabling the solid attachment of additional modules and pockets directly to the construction. This allows the system to be easily expanded with EMOD components and standard MOLLE/PALS pockets, providing flexibility in gear organisation and set adjustment to specific tasks.

Camouflage Mountain
Doppel:Ganger is Eberlestock's proprietary line of camouflages, using a double-image technique in which an abstract veil layer is superimposed over a classic pattern of stains alluding to the natural surroundings. The depth and contrast effect makes it difficult to pick up the silhouette, forcing the eye to focus on one of the layers, increasing the effectiveness of the camouflage.
The Mountain variant is based on shades of green and brown, allowing it to blend in with lush vegetation, wet areas and agricultural landscapes. It works particularly well in the coniferous and mixed forests of Central and Northern Europe. It is an alternative to classic forest patterns such as US Woodland, Marpat (Digital Woodland), as well as WASP I Z3A.

Eberlestock is an American brand founded in 1985 by Glenn Eberle, an Olympian, pilot, and avid hunter. The company began by creating a lightweight and durable shooting rest, which led to further innovations. The Just One Pack backpack proved to be a breakthrough solution, allowing for comfortable carrying of weapons on the back while maintaining full freedom of movement. The company gained recognition thanks to modular systems such as the Mainframe™ frame, whose load capacity has been tested with loads of up to almost 600 kilograms. The range also includes models developed in collaboration with outdoor organizations, such as the Team Elk Pack created in partnership with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Eberlestock is also developing its own Doppel:Ganger® camouflage line, which includes Mountain, Skye, and Mirage variants, based on dual-image technology that increases camouflage effectiveness. Currently, Eberlestock, based in Boise, Idaho, is recognized as one of the leaders in designing equipment for hunters, tactical operators, and outdoor enthusiasts.
