Eberlestock Mainframe serves as the core frame of the EMOD system, constructed from lightweight aluminum alongside robust materials. The frame seamlessly integrates with Vapor 2500/5000/7500 backpacks, Batwings modules, and an array of accessories, establishing the basis for a modular backpack configuration.

The mainframe functions as a standalone transport frame or can be configured with EMOD series modules, enabling customizable setups tailored to the expedition's demands - whether it’s a lightweight kit or a full-scale expedition backpack.
Carrying system, hip belt
The carrying system incorporates a lightweight aluminum frame that distributes weight through the hip belt and back, alleviating pressure on the wearer's shoulders. Adjustable straps provide the ability to modify the harness height to match the torso's length, enhancing ergonomic support.
A wide hip belt with soft padding helps stabilize the backpack and bears a significant portion of the weight, boosting stability while walking. Shaped straps lined with mesh material improve comfort during extended periods of use.
On the hip belt, the MOLLE system webbing is designed to attach pouches and additional equipment.
Mainframe attachment system
The Mainframe serves as the core of the modular EMOD system, enabling the direct attachment of backpacks and accessories from this lineup to its structure. These attachments utilize YKK zippers and Duraflex HD 25 mm buckles to secure the backpack along the frame's sides.
With three cross compression straps with buckles, the system ensures the backpack stays stable on the frame or can be shifted to create extra transport space. This configuration is ideal for carrying equipment or heavy loads near the body's center of gravity.
MOLLE/PALS panel
A laser-cut MOLLE/PALS panel runs the entire length of the frame's back, providing a stable platform for attaching extra modules and pockets directly to the frame. This feature facilitates effortless expansion of the system using EMOD elements and standard MOLLE/PALS system pockets, thereby preserving adaptability for gear organization and allowing the kit to be tailored to specific tasks.

LCS (Laser Cut System) is a new version of the assembly used in the MOLLE system, where instead of traditional tapes, laser-cut holes are used directly in the material. The system is much lighter than standard sewn-on PALS tapes and guarantees better camouflage. The holes are hemmed with thread to prevent fuzzing and ripping, or, as in the case of Cordura, the laser-cut edges are fused.
