Eberlestock Mainframe Tall Backpack Frame - Military Green

Eberlestock Mainframe serves as the core framework of the EMOD system, crafted from lightweight aluminum and robust materials. It boasts an adjustable carry system and an integrated transport shelf, designed to ease the burden of heavy hauling. The frame works seamlessly with Vapor 2500/5000/7500 backpacks, Batwings modules, and other add-ons, creating the basis for a versatile modular backpack setup.

The Mainframe Tall edition is distinguished by its elongated frame, making it more appropriate for those with a longer torso (over 48 cm).

durable construction

The construction features an aluminum frame that offers a combination of lightweight and high durability. The rigid frame delivers reliable support for the carrying system and incorporates a built-in transport shelf to ease the transport of heavy loads.

The mainframe functions as a standalone transport frame or can be configured with EMOD series modules, enabling setups tailored to the expedition’s needs—from a minimal package to a full-scale expedition backpack.

Carrying system, hip belt

The carrying system utilizes a lightweight aluminum frame to shift the load to the hip belt and back, easing pressure on the wearer's shoulders. Adjustable straps allow the harness height to be tailored to the torso length, enhancing comfort and ergonomics.

A wide hip belt with soft padding stabilizes the pack and bears a significant amount of the load, thus improving balance during movement. Shaped straps with a mesh lining maximize carrying comfort, especially over prolonged durations.

The hip belt incorporates MOLLE system webbing, intended for attaching pouches and other gear.

Mainframe attachment system

The Mainframe serves as the core of the modular EMOD system, enabling backpacks and accessories from this series to be directly attached to the structure. Attachments are secured with YKK zippers and Duraflex HD 25 mm buckles that fasten the backpack to the frame's sides.

Equipped with three cross compression straps with buckles, the system stabilizes the backpack on the frame or allows it to be positioned outward, creating extra transport space. This design facilitates carrying equipment or heavy loads near the body's center of gravity.

MOLLE/PALS panel

A laser-cut MOLLE/PALS panel runs along the entire back of the frame, allowing for secure attachment of additional modules and pockets directly to the structure. This design facilitates easy expansion with EMOD elements and standard MOLLE/PALS system pockets, ensuring flexibility in gear organization and enabling the kit to be tailored to specific missions.

Eberlestock

Eberlestock is an American brand founded in 1985 by Glenn Eberle, an Olympian, pilot, and avid hunter. The company began by creating a lightweight and durable shooting rest, which led to further innovations. The Just One Pack backpack proved to be a breakthrough solution, allowing for comfortable carrying of weapons on the back while maintaining full freedom of movement. The company gained recognition thanks to modular systems such as the Mainframe™ frame, whose load capacity has been tested with loads of up to almost 600 kilograms. The range also includes models developed in collaboration with outdoor organizations, such as the Team Elk Pack created in partnership with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Eberlestock is also developing its own Doppel:Ganger® camouflage line, which includes Mountain, Skye, and Mirage variants, based on dual-image technology that increases camouflage effectiveness. Currently, Eberlestock, based in Boise, Idaho, is recognized as one of the leaders in designing equipment for hunters, tactical operators, and outdoor enthusiasts.

System MOLLE feature
System MOLLE

MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) is a system for attachment of tactical equipment, used for example in backpacks or tactical vests. It provides the possibility of flexible and modular placement of various accessories and pockets, which allows personalization and optimal adjustment of the item to the specific needs of the user. It is widely used by the military, special services and survival and outdoor enthusiasts.

Duraflex buckles feature

Laser Cut System feature
Laser Cut System

LCS (Laser Cut System) is a new version of the assembly used in the MOLLE system, where instead of traditional tapes, laser-cut holes are used directly in the material. The system is much lighter than standard sewn-on PALS tapes and guarantees better camouflage. The holes are hemmed with thread to prevent fuzzing and ripping, or, as in the case of Cordura, the laser-cut edges are fused.

EMOD feature
