Eberlestock Mainframe is the base frame of the EMOD system, made from lightweight aluminum and durable materials. It features a adjustable carrying system and built-in transport shelf that facilitate carrying heavy loads. The frame is compatible with Vapor 2500/5000/7500 backpacks, Batwings modules, and other accessories, forming the foundation of a modular backpack set.
The Mainframe Tall version stands out with its extended frame, making it better suited for individuals with a longer torso (over 48 cm).

The construction is based on a aluminum frame that combines low weight with high durability. The rigid frame provides solid support for the carrying system and includes a built-in transport shelf to facilitate carrying heavy loads.
Mainframe can be used as a standalone transport frame or in configuration with EMOD series modules, allowing for sets tailored to the nature of the expedition - from a lightweight package to a full-size expedition backpack.
Carrying system, hip belt
The carrying system is based on a lightweight aluminum frame that transfers weight to the hip belt and back, relieving the wearer's shoulders. Adjustable straps allow you to adjust the height of the harness to the length of the torso, improving ergonomics.
Wide hip belt with soft padding stabilizes the backpack and takes on a significant portion of the load, increasing stability during walking. Shaped straps lined with mesh material enhance carrying comfort, especially during prolonged use.
The hip belt is equipped with MOLLE system webbing, designed to attach pockets and other gear.
Mainframe attachment system
The Mainframe forms the foundation of the modular EMOD system and allows for the attachment of backpacks and accessories from this series directly to the structure. Connections are made using YKK zippers and Duraflex HD 25 mm buckles fastening the backpack to the sides of the frame.
The system uses three cross compression straps with buckles to keep the backpack stable on the frame or to move it away, creating additional transport space. This allows for carrying gear or heavy loads close to the body's center of gravity.
MOLLE/PALS panel
Along the entire length of the back of the frame, there is a laser-cut MOLLE/PALS panel, enabling stable mounting of additional modules and pockets directly to the structure. This allows the system to be easily expanded with EMOD elements and standard MOLLE/PALS system pockets, maintaining flexibility in organizing gear and adapting the kit to specific tasks.
