Eberlestock Mainframe serves as the core structure of the EMOD system, constructed from lightweight aluminum and robust materials. It includes an adjustable carrying system and an integrated transport shelf to ease the burden of carrying hefty loads. Compatible with Vapor 2500/5000/7500 backpacks, Batwings modules, and additional accessories, it lays the groundwork for a modular backpack configuration.
The Mainframe Tall variant is distinguished by its extended frame, making it particularly suitable for those with a longer torso (over 48 cm).

Carrying system, hip belt
The carrying system relies on a lightweight aluminum frame that shifts weight to the hip belt and back, alleviating pressure on the wearer’s shoulders. Adjustable straps enable customization of the harness height to match the torso length, enhancing ergonomic fit.
A wide hip belt with soft padding helps stabilize the backpack and supports a substantial amount of the load, boosting stability while walking. Shaped straps lined with mesh fabric improve comfort during extended wear.

Mainframe attachment system
The Mainframe serves as the core component of the modular EMOD system, facilitating the direct attachment of backpacks and accessories from this series to the structure. Attachments are secured through YKK zippers and Duraflex HD 25 mm buckles, which fasten the backpack to the frame's sides.
The system utilizes three cross compression straps with buckles to stabilize the backpack on the frame or to adjust its position, creating additional transport space. This design allows for the carrying of equipment or heavy loads close to the body's center of gravity.
MOLLE/PALS panel
A laser-cut MOLLE/PALS panel runs the full length of the frame's back, facilitating secure attachment of additional modules and pockets directly to the frame. This setup supports seamless integration of EMOD elements and standard MOLLE/PALS system pockets, ensuring versatile organization of gear and allowing customization for specific missions.
