Eberlestock Mainframe Tall Backpack Frame - Skye
Eberlestock Mainframe serves as the foundation of the EMOD system, constructed from lightweight aluminum and robust materials. It includes an adjustable carry system and an integrated transport shelf to assist in managing heavy loads. The frame is compatible with Vapor 2500/5000/7500 backpacks, Batwings modules, and various accessories, creating the base of a modular backpack setup.
The Mainframe Tall version is distinguished by its elongated frame, making it ideal for users with a torso length exceeding 48 cm.
durable construction
The construction features an aluminum frame that offers a blend of lightweight attributes and high durability. A rigid frame ensures robust support for the carrying system and incorporates a built-in transport shelf to ease the transport of heavy loads.
The mainframe functions as a standalone transport frame or can be configured with EMOD series modules, enabling customization for different expedition needs—from a lightweight kit to a full-size expedition backpack.
Carrying system, hip belt
The carrying mechanism relies on a lightweight aluminum frame that shifts weight to the hip belt and back, easing the strain on the user's shoulders. Adjustable straps allow customization of the harness height to match the torso length, enhancing ergonomic support.
A wide hip belt with soft padding secures the backpack and bears a considerable amount of the weight, thereby improving stability while walking. Shaped straps with a mesh lining boost comfort, especially during extended use.
The hip belt features MOLLE system webbing, which is intended for attaching pockets and other gear.
Mainframe attachment system
The Mainframe serves as the core of the modular EMOD system, enabling backpacks and accessories from this series to be directly attached to its structure. These connections utilize YKK zippers and Duraflex HD 25 mm buckles to secure the backpack to the frame's sides.
Three cross compression straps with buckles are employed by the system to stabilize the backpack on the frame or detach it, creating additional transport space. This design facilitates the carrying of equipment or heavy loads close to the body's center of gravity.
MOLLE/PALS panel
Spanning the entire back of the frame is a laser-cut MOLLE/PALS panel, allowing for secure attachment of additional modules and pockets directly to the frame. This setup makes it easy to enhance the system with EMOD elements and standard MOLLE/PALS system pockets, preserving the flexibility needed for gear organization and adapting the kit to various tasks.

Camouflage Skye
Doppel:Ganger is Eberlestock's exclusive line of camouflages, featuring a dual-image technique where an abstract veil layer is overlaid on a classic pattern of spots that mimic natural environments. The resulting depth and contrast effect makes the silhouette hard to detect, compelling the eye to focus on one of the layers, thereby enhancing the camouflage's effectiveness.
The Skye variant incorporates light browns, yellows, and earth tones, making it well-suited for blending into the deciduous forests of Europe, particularly during autumn. It also integrates seamlessly into the patchwork of fields and groves, as well as rocky mountain areas and arid lowlands. Recognized as the most adaptable Eberlestock pattern, it performs effectively across the diverse landscapes typical of the temperate zone. This makes it a viable alternative to transitional camouflages such as MultiCam, PenCott Badlands, and WASP I Z2.

Eberlestock is an American brand founded in 1985 by Glenn Eberle, an Olympian, pilot, and avid hunter. The company began by creating a lightweight and durable shooting rest, which led to further innovations. The Just One Pack backpack proved to be a breakthrough solution, allowing for comfortable carrying of weapons on the back while maintaining full freedom of movement. The company gained recognition thanks to modular systems such as the Mainframe™ frame, whose load capacity has been tested with loads of up to almost 600 kilograms. The range also includes models developed in collaboration with outdoor organizations, such as the Team Elk Pack created in partnership with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Eberlestock is also developing its own Doppel:Ganger® camouflage line, which includes Mountain, Skye, and Mirage variants, based on dual-image technology that increases camouflage effectiveness. Currently, Eberlestock, based in Boise, Idaho, is recognized as one of the leaders in designing equipment for hunters, tactical operators, and outdoor enthusiasts.
