Eberlestock Mainframe Regular Backpack Frame - Mirage
The Eberlestock Mainframe serves as the base frame of the EMOD system, made from lightweight aluminium and durable materials. It includes an adjustable carrying system and a built-in transport shelf, which facilitates the transportation of heavier loads. The frame is compatible with Vapor 2500/5000/7500 backpacks, Batwings modules, and other accessories, forming the basis of a modular backpack set.
Solid construction
The construction is based on an aluminium frame, combining low weight with high durability. The rigid frame provides strong support for the carrying system and includes a built-in transport shelf for carrying heavier loads.
The Mainframe can function as a standalone transport frame or be used with EMOD series modules, allowing for the creation of sets tailored to different expedition objectives - from a lightweight kit to a full-sized expedition backpack.
Carrying system, hip belt
The carrying system relies on a lightweight aluminium frame, transferring the load to the hip belt and back, reducing pressure on the user's shoulders. Adjustable shoulder straps allow the harness height to be adjusted to the torso length, enhancing ergonomics.
A wide, padded hip belt stabilises the backpack and takes on a significant portion of the weight, improving stability while walking. Profiled shoulder straps covered with mesh material increase user comfort, especially during extended wear.
The hip belt features MOLLE system straps, designed for attaching pockets and other accessories.
Mounting system to the Mainframe
The Mainframe acts as the foundation of the modular EMOD system and allows direct attachment of backpacks and accessories from this series to its structure. Assembly is done using YKK zips and Duraflex HD 25 mm buckles, which connect the backpack to the sides of the frame.
The system uses three cross-compression straps with buckles, ensuring a stable connection of the backpack to the frame or allowing for its separation, creating additional transport space. This way, gear or heavy loads can be carried close to the body's centre of gravity.
MOLLE/PALS Panel
A laser-cut MOLLE/PALS panel runs along the entire length of the back of the frame, enabling solid mounting of additional modules and pockets directly to the structure. This allows the system to be easily expanded with EMOD elements and standard MOLLE/PALS pockets, enabling free organisation of equipment and tailoring of the set for specific tasks.

Camouflage Mirage
Doppel:Ganger is Eberlestock's proprietary line of camouflages, using a double-image technique in which an abstract veil layer is superimposed over a classic pattern of stains alluding to the natural surroundings. The depth and contrast effect makes it difficult to pick up the silhouette, forcing the eye to focus on one of the layers, increasing the effectiveness of the camouflage.
The Mirage variant is based on earthy colors with stark contrasts, inspired by the natural tones of dry steppes and semi-desert landscapes. It works well in mountainous, grassy and desert environments, as well as in the open spaces of Southern and Eastern Europe. Its wide tonal range makes it an alternative to desert-steppe patterns such as A-TACS AU and WASP I Z1B.

Eberlestock is an American brand founded in 1985 by Glenn Eberle, an Olympian, pilot, and avid hunter. The company began by creating a lightweight and durable shooting rest, which led to further innovations. The Just One Pack backpack proved to be a breakthrough solution, allowing for comfortable carrying of weapons on the back while maintaining full freedom of movement. The company gained recognition thanks to modular systems such as the Mainframe™ frame, whose load capacity has been tested with loads of up to almost 600 kilograms. The range also includes models developed in collaboration with outdoor organizations, such as the Team Elk Pack created in partnership with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Eberlestock is also developing its own Doppel:Ganger® camouflage line, which includes Mountain, Skye, and Mirage variants, based on dual-image technology that increases camouflage effectiveness. Currently, Eberlestock, based in Boise, Idaho, is recognized as one of the leaders in designing equipment for hunters, tactical operators, and outdoor enthusiasts.
