The hat protects well against the sun – the rays aren't bothersome when wearing it. It's airy and so light that you almost can’t feel it on your head. It's a bit of a shame that it doesn't have a fastening that would allow you to wear the sides up 'cowboy style', but it doesn’t affect its functionality.

Lightweight hat made of abrasion-resistant nylon. The UPF-50 sunscreen used in the hat ensures safety during activities in the sun. The wide brim provides excellent protection from the sun and rain.
The Omni-Shade technology used, thanks to its compact weave design, absorbers and UV reflectors, effectively blocks ultraviolet A and B rays (UVA and UVB), protecting against sunburn and permanent skin damage. Omni-Wick technology allows sweat to transfer and disperse, ensuring rapid evaporation, ensuring comfort during physical activities.
There is a ventilation mesh on the sides for direct airflow under the hat. An adjustable drawstring with a stopper allows you to adjust the size of the hat to the size of your head, and a rope under the chin provides additional security.

The brim of the hat is wider than it first appears and functions well. The mesh provides lots of ventilation, which you can’t see in the photos. That’s an advantage, though because of it the hat is not suitable for filtering water anymore. It’s a pity there aren't snaps to hold up the sides of the brim – that wouldn’t affect the weight much. After the first wash at 30 degrees, the brim stiffener got wrinkled, but evenly, which actually gives it some character, and the stiffener still works as it should.

The hat may not be particularly visually attractive (that’s a matter of taste – personally, I’m not a fan of fishing styles), but it is very light, airy and provides excellent sun protection, which is its main purpose. You can fold it down to a small size and use it as protection in strong sun.
