Bushmen Underquilt Glow -12 deg C. Hammock Lining Green/Orange

Underquilt Glow -12 deg. C is a lightweight and extremely warm hammock underquilt. It provides excellent insulation from the cold, suitable even for frosty winter nights. Designed for three seasons: autumn, winter, and spring. The model weighs only 800 grams, making it an excellent choice for those seeking ultralight gear.

The underquilt is filled with 550 g of Polish natural goose down with a loft of 750 cuin. The comfort temperature is -12 deg. C, and the limit is -19 deg. C. Goose down is the most efficient and lightest insulating material, with very good loft. Loft is crucial for retaining heat.

It's worth noting that the down filling the Underquilt Glow is recycled. It is sourced from products that require replacement due to use. The down undergoes a deep disinfection and cleaning process, using only biodegradable washing agents. After the process, clean, disinfected, and dried down is selected and supplemented to meet the 750 cuin loft standard.

The outer shell is made from ultralight nylon in a micro Rip Stop weave. The material provides optimal durability and breathability, while being dense enough to prevent the down from penetrating and coming out, even with long-term use. The nylon is coated with hydrophobic DWR treatment (Durable Water Repellency), preventing the fabric and down from absorbing water. Water beads on the surface and flows off easily.

One side of the underquilt is dark green, blending with natural surroundings. The other side is orange for easy visibility. The underquilt can be used on either side, depending on current needs.

Thanks to its unique design, the Underquilt can serve not only as an underquilt but also as a comfortable sleeping bag, topquilt, quilt, or an additional insulating layer for a sleeping bag. The special quilt shape allows for maximum utilisation of the down's insulating properties. The H-section baffle construction (so-called warm seam) eliminates cold spots, areas without insulation, significantly enhancing the underquilt's insulating parameters.

The areas covering the chest, shoulders, and head in the Underquilt Glow have a width of 140 cm and chambers in the shape of rectangular cushions, preventing the down from shifting to the lower parts of the quilt. This ensures the torso and head are always very well protected. The section designed to cover the legs has a special, elongated chamber shape. This construction provides optimal warmth and use of the down.

The underquilt can be easily and quickly adjusted to fit any hammock. The set includes two expanders (1.25 m) equipped with tensioners with self-locking fasteners. This allows for effortless adjustment while comfortably lying in the hammock. If the hammock is not in use, the Underquilt Glow can serve as a sleeping bag or topquilt. Just tie the expanders around the mattress, and by attaching to the tensioners, secure the quilt from slipping.
