In the range of jackets for drivers you will primarily find MA-1 models. The MA-1 bomber was developed for the US Army in the 1950s, replacing the previous B-15 design. Jackets of this type were developed for the safety of pilots during the jet age. Previously, American pilots used thick leather jackets that could absorb moisture, which froze at higher altitudes, causing discomfort. Jets were able to soar higher than propeller-driven machines, requiring more modern materials.

MA-1 They are characterized by a simple, utilitarian design and unparalleled comfort. They can be successfully used on a daily basis as reflective jackets for drivers of cars and industrial machinery. They will prove useful as workwear for delivery men, couriers, machine operators and cab drivers. They will find use in industry as factory clothing, and will also be useful when working in cold conditions. In some states in the U.S., jackets of this type are used by police units because of their comfort and features. Initially they were produced only in sage green and midnight blue, but now you can get them in virtually any color, including black. They also come in camouflage patterns. They are extremely popular during winters in Australia, as well as in Europe. They were popular in the 1970s among skinheads and punks.

Reflective jackets for drivers are just one of the uses of the MA-1 jacket's underside. High contrast and bright colors will make it easier to find a person lost in a snowstorm, allow emergency services to reach us faster after an accident, and make it easier to spot missing people from a helicopter. In addition to bright colors, Flyers also provide protection from the cold and wind. The jacket creates something like a cushion of warm air between our body and the outside environment, so we won't get chilled quickly. MA-1 reflective driver's jackets are made of durable materials, so they provide many years of trouble-free use. In addition, reinforced metal zippers allow the jackets to last exceptionally long. The seams and pockets are solid, which further enhances the effect of the garment's longevity.

Reflective jackets for MA-1 drivers are also an important part of the culture. They are especially worn in the United States, Japan and the United Kingdom, but they are also very popular in Poland. Used by certain subcultures, they are a symbol of freedom and independence. They are produced by many clothing brands around the world. In the offer of MILITARY.EU you will find, among others, models of the Polish company Texar, which specializes in military clothing and in the production of tactical accessories. The second brand worth mentioning is German MIL-TEC. Their clothing is characterized primarily by good quality at a reasonable price. German precision in the design and production of outdoor and military clothing is within everyone's reach.

The zippers on MA-1 reflective jackets for drivers are made of stainless steel. Such a solid solution allows the jacket to be opened and closed for many cycles. This is very important not only for drivers. Zippers in bomber jackets are some of the sturdiest parts of the garment. Like the fasteners used in pockets, even after years of intensive use, they do not get damaged. High-quality nylon, used in their production, is characterized by increased resistance to abrasion, which is not insignificant when frequently getting in and out of the car. Many cheaper jackets lose color during intensive use and wear out on the back, while MA-1 remain intact.

It is worthwhile to properly waterproof a new jacket and protect it from snow and rain. For this purpose, there are specialized clothing preservatives, which you can easily find on our website in a separate category. Impregnants are mainly used to protect clothing from moisture, dust and mud.
