I have mixed feelings. The material and build quality are excellent, but the size L fits very unusually — as if it were tailored for a very slim build. When I tried to reach forward with my arm, the jacket rode up and restricted movement, which is disappointing. I have other jackets, softshells, fleeces, and sweatshirts in size L, and only this one fits somewhat strangely — kind of elegant, but not very comfortable. However, if it fits you well, you will probably be very happy with it.

Alpha Industries MA-1 TT Two Tone Jacket Light - Vintage Sand
The MA-1 jacket is crafted from rugged, abrasion-resistant fabric designed to shield against cold, wind, and moisture. Featuring a reversible design inspired by its initial use for US Air Force pilots, it can be worn as the classic style or with an eye-catching orange side for heightened visibility in challenging conditions. The carefully designed cut and numerous pockets make this jacket ideal for daily wear and outdoor adventures.
Durable materials and reversible design
The exterior is crafted from robust, tear-resistant nylon, which provides effective protection against wind and moisture. The reversible design of the jacket offers enhanced versatility. The interior showcases a vibrant orange color, reminiscent of its initial purpose—making pilots more visible to rescue teams in case of emergency landings or being shot down. In modern times, this practical feature can enhance safety when walking on unlit roads.
Thermal strip and elastic cuffs
The primary zipper on the MA-1 TT is single-directional with an eco-leather handle for effortless fastening, even with gloves on. An internal thermal strip safeguards against heat escape by securing the zipper. Elastic welts on the collar, cuffs, and waistband ensure a snug fit and extra cold protection.
5 practical pockets
The MA-1 TT features five spacious pockets:
- two external ones with patches secured by snaps,
- two internal pockets also closed with snaps,
- and a pocket on the left sleeve sealed with a zipper.
A distinctive Remove Before Flight tag is positioned on the sleeve next to the pocket, highlighting its military style. Additionally, a tag with the manufacturer's logo is located on the left sleeve.

The perfect choice. The green color is actually even nicer than in the picture – a deep, dark green, not faded. The fit is tailored. Best for temperatures above 10 degrees.

The jacket matches the description; it's a classic model, so there's nothing to complain about. The downside, however, is the material—it doesn't let air through, which makes it easy to get hot in it. Also, be careful with the sizing, because in my opinion, it runs a bit small.
