Wiley X Gravity Tactical Glasses - Captivate Polarized Grey Matte Black
Comfortable, lightweight, and well-fitting tactical glasses. The lenses are resistant to mechanical damage, protecting the eyes from shrapnel, ricochets, and other flying objects. They meet the requirements of class F (provide protection against objects weighing 0.86 g moving at a speed of 45 m/s).
Wiley X is one of the leading suppliers of eye protection for the U.S. military, athletes, and outdoor enthusiasts.
Frames from Triloid material
Frames made of Triloid nylon and lenses made of shatterproof Selenite polycarbonate meet ANSI Z87.1+ ballistic protection standards and EN166 F. The shape of the frames ensures a good fit without compromising comfort when wearing headphones or hearing protectors. Rubber, non-slip temples and nose pads guarantee stable placement on the face. The detachable Facial Cavity Seal ensures the glasses fit closely to the face, providing protection against wind and dust.
Polycarbonate lenses with T-shell coating and Captivate technology
Lenses with 15% light transmission and a CAPTIVATE polarizing filter placed between the lens layers on sunny days concentrate light on one plane, filter out the blinding glare of the sun, increase brightness, and improve depth perception. Eyes are protected against harmful ultraviolet UVA and UVB rays, as well as blue light (HEV). On cloudy and rainy days, the glasses enhance object contrast, significantly improving vision quality, providing clarity and full viewing comfort. Recommended for drivers, skiers, fishermen, and hikers.
Anti-reflective coating reduces distracting light reflections, preventing rays from bouncing back into the eyes, distorting the image, or causing irritation. This makes the view clearer than in standard Captivate lenses. The lenses feature a T-Shell Scratch coating to prevent scratches. The oleophobic coating protects the lens from dust, dirt, oil, snow, and water adhesion.

The HEV (High Energy Visible) filter provides protection from harmful blue light emitted by computer screens, smartphones and sunlight. The HEV filter in the glasses increases overall visual comfort and protects eye health.
T-Shell is a coating on Wiley X glasses that resists scratches, protects lenses from damage and extends their life.
Facial Cavity is a cap that provides protection from the elements and excessive sidelight. With soft foam seals, the glasses block dust, pollen and wind, preventing eye irritation. They eliminate peripheral light, which improves optical clarity.
Captivate lens technology is an advanced filter system used in sunglasses that aims to improve the quality of vision by filtering out harmful light and improving color perception and contrast.
The Oleophobic coating repels dirt, oil, water and other substances, so the lenses stay cleaner and easier to maintain. The technology makes the lenses more durable and comfortable to wear.
EN166F is the European standard for protection against the impact of accelerated objects (Medium Energy Impact). Class F mechanical strength means that, according to the standard, the frame and visors of the glasses will withstand the impact of a steel BBs with a diameter of 6 mm and a weight of 0.86 g, traveling at 45 m/s (162 km/h).

Great, comfortable, and solid glasses that offer very good vision quality. Purchased both for knife training and outdoor activities, they perform excellently. They sit stably on the head, do not slip, and do not cause discomfort. I definitely recommend them.

I haven't had the chance to use them every day yet, but after some initial tests, I can see that the lenses are excellent—they render colors very well and provide clarity, even when looking at a monitor. The quality difference compared to an older model from this brand is noticeable. The frames have a nice matte color, and the temples are short. Not everyone will like this shape, but you can secure them with a strap. The glasses sit pretty well on the head, although I think with the extra anti-fog insert, it's better to use a strap, especially on a motorcycle or bicycle. Overall, I recommend them, but more for people with small or medium-sized heads—for a larger head, I'd choose a different model, but with these lenses.

My earlier Oakley glasses are still working well, even though they're already a few years old. I got a bit bored with them, and since they're already scratched and not very fashionable—I decided it was time for something new. I was looking for sunglasses that would be durable, versatile, and polarized, and also well protected on the sides so that glare wouldn't blind me when driving. When I first put on the Wiley X Gravity with Captivate Polarized Grey lenses, I was impressed. On a sunny day, the view was incredibly clear and sharp, and the colors vibrant—a lot better than in my several-year-old Oakleys. The difference in image quality comes from advances in technology. Unfortunately, the glasses turned out to be a bit too tight on my larger head, they slipped off my nose a bit, and with the additional gasket, they didn't fit my face as well. Ultimately, I returned them and I'm getting a bigger Wiley X model with the same lenses, because I liked them a lot and don't want to wait for a refund.
