I haven't had the chance to use them every day yet, but after some initial tests, I can see that the lenses are excellent—they render colors very well and provide clarity, even when looking at a monitor. The quality difference compared to an older model from this brand is noticeable. The frames have a nice matte color, and the temples are short. Not everyone will like this shape, but you can secure them with a strap. The glasses sit pretty well on the head, although I think with the extra anti-fog insert, it's better to use a strap, especially on a motorcycle or bicycle. Overall, I recommend them, but more for people with small or medium-sized heads—for a larger head, I'd choose a different model, but with these lenses.
Wiley X Gravity Tactical Glasses - Captivate Polarized Blue/Black Crystal
Lightweight, comfortable tactical glasses with a great fit. The lenses' mechanical durability safeguards the eyes against shrapnel, ricochets, and various airborne debris. They comply with class F standards (protect against objects weighing 0.86 g traveling at a speed of 45 m/s).
Wiley X ranks among the top providers of eye protection for the U.S. military, athletes, and outdoor enthusiasts.
Frames made of Triloid material
Meticulously crafted with Triloid nylon frames and equipped with lenses made of shatter-resistant Selenite polycarbonate, these glasses adhere to ANSI Z87.1+ and EN166 F ballistic protection standards. The frame's design guarantees a snug fit without sacrificing comfort while wearing headphones or ear protection. Equipped with rubber, non-slip temples and nose pads, the glasses remain securely in place. The removable Facial Cavity Seal ensures a tight fit, offering protection against wind, dust, and other elements.
polycarbonate lenses with T-shell coating and Captivate technology
The lenses with 11% light transmission and the CAPTIVATE polarization filter located between the lens layers concentrate light on a single plane in bright conditions, reduce glaring sunlight, boost brightness, and enhance depth perception. They shield the eyes from harmful ultraviolet radiation, UVA and UVB, and blue light (HEV). During overcast or rainy weather, they enhance object contrast, greatly improving visual quality, delivering optimal clarity and complete comfort. These glasses are ideal for drivers, skiers, anglers, and travelers.
Anti-reflective coating removes bothersome reflections, stopping rays from reflecting back into the eyes, which can distort vision and cause discomfort. This leads to a more precise view than typical Captivate lenses. The glasses are equipped with a T-Shell Scratch coating to guard against lens scratches. The Oleophobic coating repels dust, dirt, oil, snow, and water from sticking to the lens.

My earlier Oakley glasses are still working well, even though they're already a few years old. I got a bit bored with them, and since they're already scratched and not very fashionable—I decided it was time for something new. I was looking for sunglasses that would be durable, versatile, and polarized, and also well protected on the sides so that glare wouldn't blind me when driving. When I first put on the Wiley X Gravity with Captivate Polarized Grey lenses, I was impressed. On a sunny day, the view was incredibly clear and sharp, and the colors vibrant—a lot better than in my several-year-old Oakleys. The difference in image quality comes from advances in technology. Unfortunately, the glasses turned out to be a bit too tight on my larger head, they slipped off my nose a bit, and with the additional gasket, they didn't fit my face as well. Ultimately, I returned them and I'm getting a bigger Wiley X model with the same lenses, because I liked them a lot and don't want to wait for a refund.
