Ticks utilize the Haller’s organ, located on their front legs, to find a host. The device emits ultrasonic waves at 40 kHz, disrupting the function of this organ and making it more challenging for ticks to detect their target. With an effective range of approximately 1.5 meters, it provides a sufficient level of protection.
The sturdy beige casing is constructed from durable plastic. It complies with IP13 standards, ensuring resistance against intrusion by objects larger than 50 mm and safeguarding from water spray at a 60-degree angle from different directions.
Device operation
Engage the device by removing the tab, which activates it. LED flashes indicate it is operational. Deactivation is not possible and it has a minimum operational life of 6 months. To assess battery condition, press the button – four LED flashes under the grille confirm that the device is working fine. Fewer flashes suggest replacement is necessary.
TickLess should be secured to the collar with the grille oriented towards the animal’s body to ensure effective dispersion of the ultrasonic waves.

I've been using this model for two years for two dogs together with Fiprex on the skin. Since then, I haven't had to remove any embedded ticks—sometimes I find a tick walking on the dog, but it doesn't burrow into the skin. It's worth remembering that ticks are active at around +7°C, so they can appear even in a warm February. According to the instructions, the device is not suitable for bathing in the sea. The CR2032 replacement battery is easy to buy and replace, and the Tickless can be opened because the housing is not glued.

In my opinion, the device works. However, due to the high price (outside of promotions) and the fact that it works for me for 7-8 months and is single-use, it's worth thinking carefully before buying. After that period it becomes electronic waste. The product should be designed so you can replace the battery. Then it would make sense ecologically as well.
