Ticks utilize the Haller’s organ, situated on the foot of their foremost pair of legs, to detect their host. Ultrasound waves at a frequency of 40 kHz generated by the device disrupt this organ’s ability to receive stimuli. It operates within a range of approximately 1.5 meters, ensuring effective protection.
The orange casing is crafted from durable plastic. The device complies with IP13 standards, offering protection against objects larger than 50 mm as well as resistance to water sprays from various directions at a 60-degree angle.
Device operation
The product begins working by removing the tab, which activates the device, and its functioning is indicated by flashing LEDs. The device remains on continuously and operates for at least 6 months. To check the battery level, press the button; the LED behind the grille should blink four times. If fewer blinks occur, the device needs replacement.
TickLess should be fastened to the collar with the grille in the housing facing the animal’s body, ensuring the ultrasonic waves can disperse without obstruction.

I've been using this model for two years for two dogs together with Fiprex on the skin. Since then, I haven't had to remove any embedded ticks—sometimes I find a tick walking on the dog, but it doesn't burrow into the skin. It's worth remembering that ticks are active at around +7°C, so they can appear even in a warm February. According to the instructions, the device is not suitable for bathing in the sea. The CR2032 replacement battery is easy to buy and replace, and the Tickless can be opened because the housing is not glued.

In my opinion, the device works. However, due to the high price (outside of promotions) and the fact that it works for me for 7-8 months and is single-use, it's worth thinking carefully before buying. After that period it becomes electronic waste. The product should be designed so you can replace the battery. Then it would make sense ecologically as well.
