I'm not sure where the membrane that's supposed to prevent soaking is located. After a year of use, the insole wore out. I have old Salewas that are 9 years old and still don’t let water in.

After half a year of use the shoes stopped being waterproof, despite using LOWA impregnating products. The previous model I had for 3 years before they came apart, and even though they leaked then too, it wasn’t this fast.
