I put on this fleece for the first time in October and it immediately became my favorite for colder days. It’s very comfortable, lightweight, and it keeps me warmer than I expected. The pockets are placed almost everywhere. The sizing matches the description. Great quality, good materials, and an attractive price. Definitely worth it!

The Coyote fleece jacket features a zip closure and provides efficient thermal insulation in cooler conditions, while also facilitating the release of excess heat and moisture during intense physical activities. The Helikon-Tex Patriot model is constructed with high-density fleece weighing 380 g/m2. Its roomy design accommodates additional layers underneath, such as lighter sweatshirts or thermal wear. The slightly elongated back protects the kidney area from wind, and the jacket's length is optimized to ensure easy access to pockets and equipment on the belt.
Breathable fleece
The fleece is crafted from 100% quick-drying polyester with a density of 380 g/m2, ensuring excellent thermal insulation and optimal air circulation. These features allow the material to effectively wick moisture away, safeguarding the body from cold exposure. The fabric is noted for its robustness and resistance to mechanical harm, making the jacket ideal for challenging settings—whether for hiking or tactical missions. Adjustable hood
A spacious, enclosed hood offers effective protection from cold and wind, allowing comfortable use of a winter hat without limiting movement. Roomy pockets
The jacket features six generously sized and carefully crafted pockets:
- two pockets on the chest
- two shoulder-height sleeve pockets
- one pocket situated on the left forearm
- a pass-through pocket at the back above the hip area
All pockets come secured with strong and dependable YKK zippers. These zippers are equipped with fabric pull tabs to facilitate handling, even when wearing thick gloves. Inside the chest pockets, there is a dedicated compartment for a phone, as well as cable openings for items such as headphones.
Velcro panels, adjustable cuffs and elastic waistband
Both shoulders contain Velcro panels designed for affixing patches, unit insignia, or Morale Patches. The sleeves have hook-and-loop cuffs that can be adjusted to fit the wrists precisely. An elastic drawcord in the lower section of the jacket prevents cold air from seeping in from below and aids in retaining warmth.

Polar Patriot is incredibly warm and comfortable – it performed great during several more challenging trips. The back pocket with a zipper (accessible from both sides) turned out to be very practical, even when I needed to carry some small groceries. It's worth having something for your neck on hand in case the collar doesn't provide enough insulation. The whole product is well made, and a few of my friends are already using it too.

The fleece was purchased mainly with shooting range and work in mind. It performs excellently – it is thick, keeps you warm, and the zipper goes all the way up to the neck, providing protection in that area. The pockets are very functional for carrying various items; I personally keep additional magazines in them (since four on the belt are not enough). The sweatshirt also features zippers with mesh, which has a positive effect on ventilation. I definitely recommend it to all fleece enthusiasts. Helikon has once again lived up to the task!

The fleece is comfortable and very warm. It also has a lot of pockets, so you can store quite a lot in them. When it comes to sizes, there’s a bit of a problem, because I have another fleece in size L and it’s a bit tight in the shoulders, while this one in size XL is a bit too large. I recommend ordering two sizes and returning the one that fits less well.

This sweatshirt is reminiscent of a softshell jacket, but it’s made of fleece. It has the same kind of pockets, cuffs, and a similar style. Great product, but it doesn't fully meet expectations. The fleece is very well made, has plenty of pockets (including a poacher's pocket), and the additional panels are an interesting feature. However, it is surprisingly heavy. I expected it to be warmer given its weight and material. It lets wind through quite easily. In my opinion, the sleeves are a bit too wide, and I would have preferred them to be more fitted. It might be difficult to fit under other jackets because of its size and thickness, so the outer jacket must be loose. However, worn on its own or combined with something like the Tramontane Wind Pack, it's excellent for wind protection.
