I'll start with the construction: the workmanship is a bit different than in the UV-5R, it seems to use slightly more delicate materials. You have to get used to operating the buttons. The power switch is located at the top, next to the antenna, like in Hytera. The PTT works well, but you have to press it at the top. Volume is adjusted with buttons, and at the top, instead of a knob, there's a flashlight. The display is clear, and the sound is very loud even at the minimum setting – when you turn it on, you need to lower the volume immediately because the messages are loud and in English. The mounting screws are under the battery cover—I thought they weren't included in the set. The mounting clip is very stiff and hard to stretch out; I'm afraid it might crack. I wanted to use the solution from the UV-5R, but unfortunately, the holes don't fit and the clip lacks a spring. Charging is via USB. Unfortunately, it can only be programmed through a computer, and the cable from the UV-5R doesn't fit; you have to use a dedicated cable for this model, which isn't included in the set and costs about 30 PLN. I couldn't find it on Militaria.pl, but it's available on Allegro. I haven't had a chance to program the device yet. The equipment is very neat, FM works correctly, and as a portable PMR, I can definitely recommend it.

The BF-T1 is a small, handy, and inconspicuous radio. The menu offers 14 basic options, including squelch, vox, voice prompts, scanning, and DCS tones. The downside is the lack of manual channel frequency setting.
