Snugpak Special Forces 2 Standard Sleeping Bag - Olive
Light, olive mummy-style sleeping bag, ensuring comfortable body placement and freedom of movement during sleep. Made from innovative materials by Snugpak such as Paratex Steelplate, Paratex Light, and Softie Premier. The standard version model unfolds to a length of 220 cm. The interior of the sleeping bag includes a Reflectatherm layer, which reflects body heat, significantly improving thermal comfort.
Temperatures and usage conditions
The Special Forces 2 model is designed as a three-season sleeping bag suitable for use in low temperatures and cooler parts of the year. The temperature range for using the sleeping bag ranges from -12 to -7 deg. C.
Paratex Steelplate and Paratex Light material, DWR coating
The outer part of the sleeping bag is made from Paratex Steelplate, providing high breathability, wind protection, and excellent moisture resistance due to the use of DWR impregnation (Durable Water Repellency). This means that during morning frosts in the field, dew drops will settle on the sleeping bag, without causing soaking. The interior of the sleeping bag is made of Paratex Light material, characterized by softness, excellent wind resistance, and breathability of 12l/m2/24h. Good breathability prevents moisture buildup inside the sleeping bag, caused by condensation of heat generated by the body and the cold environment.
Under the inner layer is a metalized Reflectatherm fabric that reflects heat emitted from the body, increasing the sleeping bag's thermal efficiency by approximately 15%. The lower part of the sleeping bag, around the feet, features reinforced material, allowing sleeping in footwear without risking damage to the sleeping bag. There are also two loops for easy hanging and airing of the sleeping bag.
Softie Premier filling
The filling of the sleeping bag is Softie Premier, which ensures warmth retention even in humid conditions, and its softness enhances user comfort. The specially developed fibre structure of the filling allows for both hand and machine washing of the sleeping bag, if necessary.
The mummy-shaped design has been developed to minimise heat loss. Lack of traditional through stitches reduces the occurrence of thermal bridges, making insulation uniform across the entire surface of the sleeping bag.
Two-way YKK zip, adjustable hood
The sleeping bag features a two-way zip from the renowned company YKK, centrally located. Inside, there is a protective strip preventing the fabric from snagging in the zip and reducing heat loss. An anatomically shaped hood provides additional protection against head cooling.
Convenient transport and storage, Special Forces system
The design allows for easy transport and storage. When packed, the sleeping bag has dimensions of 23 x 23 cm and weighs 1800 g. The included practical compression sack protects the sleeping bag during transport from dirt and damage.
The sleeping bag is part of the Special Forces system, allowing connection with the Special Forces 1 model using an additional Zip Baffle strip, creating a set suitable for temperatures up to about -20 deg. C.
