Petzl Core Battery

I have two Petzl torches and I regret deciding to buy the accumulator so late. By using it interchangeably with batteries, I always have a steady source of light. Using it is trouble-free, so I recommend it to everyone with headlamps of this brand.

This is a good accumulator at a reasonable price. The headlamp works noticeably better with it. A big plus for the included charging cable. The only downside is that there's only a single indicator LED for the charge status, rather than several LEDs.

On the Petzl website, it says that the CORE accumulator is equivalent to up to 900 normal batteries – amazing! It’s better to invest in an accumulator once than buy expensive batteries. When using batteries, my Actik Core 600 lm headlamp produces only 450 lm, so it’s much better with the accumulator. Charging via type B USB does not bother me. I am very satisfied and recommend it!

I agree with previous reviewers – the torch is brighter on the battery than on regular batteries. It charges quite quickly. I recommend having a torch with a rechargeable battery and keeping batteries as a backup in your backpack, or vice versa. In terms of usage time and quality of lighting, the battery lasts much longer than standard batteries.

Replacing the accumulator is quicker than with regular batteries. Fast charging means you can use it sooner. I recommend it to everyone as a convenient everyday EDC item.

I recommend it for the Petzl Actik headlamp. The downside of the battery is charging via micro USB. The manufacturer should allow charging via USB-C, which is now standard.

Great solution – instead of three AA batteries, just one accumulator is enough, which provides much longer operating time. Fast charging is a big plus. The only downside is the lack of a charging port cover. I rate it 5/5.
