Petzl Belay Device GriGri Grey

Belaying device with assisted locking. Made of durable aluminum and steel. Increases the comfort of belaying when patenting and stopping falls. It can be used both on the climbing wall and in the rocks, and works with dynamic single ropes with diameters from 8.5 to 11 mm.

GriGri can be used for guided or rod climbing. In both cases, it provides a comfortable belay. In addition, it can be used for descending and lowering. It is equipped with an ergonomic handle, which provides a comfortable grip and allows easy unlocking of the rope. Progressive control of rope sliding through the device ensures smooth lowering or descending

Although the GriGri greatly improves belaying, it should be used by experienced climbers. To increase the safety of using the device, a diagram showing the correct way to clip the rope in is included.

In the event of a fall, the device rotates on the carabiner, which causes the steel cam to tighten on the rope and initiate locking. The movement of the cam initiates the belayer's hand grip on the free end of the rope.
