The underwear is fine, the size is also correct, but I have reservations about the packaging. It was packed in ordinary bags; I was counting on a gift, and I didn’t get any box. The description doesn’t mention the lack of elegant packaging, and it should be nicer. Because of this, I have mixed feelings.
Helikon US LVL 1 Black thermal underwear - set
Two-piece thermal underwear set from Helikon-Tex, including a long-sleeved shirt and leggings. Designed to be worn directly against the skin, this underwear forms the base layer of the U.S. Armed Forces ECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System). The lightweight and durable Helikon-Tex Quick Dry fabric effectively wicks moisture away from the body.
Thermoactive Quick Dry material
The set is made from Helikon-Tex Quick Dry thermal knit fabric composed entirely of polyester. The material dries quickly and efficiently wicks moisture away from the skin, maintaining thermal comfort even during intense activity. A special fiber weave enhances the evaporation surface. The underwear works well with additional layers of the ECWCS system or other thermal clothing, making it suitable for both cold and transitional temperatures.
Shaped shirt
The shirt features long sleeves with thumbholes that prevent the sleeves from riding up during movement and help keep the wrists warm. The extended back panel protects the lower back and kidneys from the cold, especially when squatting. Flat seams reduce the risk of skin irritation.
Fitted leggings
The leggings are fitted with elastic cuffs at the waist and ankles, ensuring a snug fit and helping to retain body heat. The fabric and cut allow full freedom of movement. A traditional fly adds to user comfort. Flat seams help reduce the risk of chafing.

Unlike others' opinions, being 183 cm tall and weighing 74 kg, size M turned out to be too tight for me, which made crouching difficult and caused discomfort at the seams under the arms. The material is very light, but suitable for cooler days.
-
Comfortable and does its job perfectly, especially during outdoor winter training. It tolerates washing well. I recommend it – Helikon quality.
-
No need to elaborate – Helikon has repeatedly proven to be one of the best and most reliable manufacturers. As a second layer I have random level 2 polyester and a uniform – comfortable up to 9°C. No wind is felt, moisture is wicked away.
-
Comfortable, fitted, wicks moisture. Worth trying for the price. The thumb hole works okay – seems like it might tear after a while, but overall everything is fine.

I give it a full 10/10. This is another set I've bought. You just need to be careful with the size – in my opinion it's better to order a smaller one. At my height of 1.8 m and weight of 78 kg, size S fits better than M.
-
Comfortable, lightweight and quite warm. It worked on the trails in Iceland at the end of August (about 10 degrees during the day, close to 0 at night). A significant downside is the thumb holes – they are too tight and dig into the skin, so I had to slightly cut them for comfort.

The set of thermal underwear is of excellent quality, as you'd expect from Helikon. An interesting weave of the fibres. At a height of 183 cm and weight of 80 kg, size M fits perfectly – nothing squeezes, there's a bit of room and it fits the figure well. The seams are absolutely not a bother. At this price, it's a very good choice, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

A good set of thermal underwear for skiing and mountain activities. It doesn't have to be very tight to work well. It provides comfort and warmth.
-
Excellent underwear. It keeps the body warm while wicking away sweat superbly. It dries quickly, even after washing or getting wet. I have several sets, I wear them from autumn to spring (in winter together with level 2), and in summer in my sleeping bag.

It is very comfortable, does not squeeze. It keeps you perfectly warm on colder days, at the same time it lets air in and wicks sweat. Ideal for cycling and also works under a uniform. For temperatures below zero, it's better to choose LVL 2.

The product is okay. I rate the quality very highly, but the price-to-quality ratio is a bit worse. I don't have many comparisons, but I once bought cheaper underwear and it was also fine, maybe even warmer. In this one I feel good, I like the material very much. I recommend it for milder frosts, but for severe cold you might need something warmer.

This is exactly what I was looking for – lightweight long johns under softshell trousers for the transitional period, for temperatures between 0° and 10°C. It's a pity Helikon doesn't make them in coyote colour – I'd buy another pair!
-
This set really retains heat well. I advise to take a smaller size so it fits perfectly and there’s no looseness. At 1.8 m height and 78 kg weight, size M was a bit loose, though still usable.

Very successful set. The clothing is light – I had some doubts at first, but as a first layer it worked well for January trips to the mountains for the whole family. Size S for my son (177 cm, 60 kg) and XS for the other (175 cm, 50 kg) – not tight, but does not hang loose; for children who don't like tight clothes, it's ideal. My husband is also very satisfied with the top. I recommend it!
