Opinion after several months of use: the jacket provides adequate thermal comfort during spring and autumn, but in winter it is worth wearing an additional layer underneath, as it may not be enough on its own. I am 198 cm tall and weigh 96 kg – size 3XL turned out to be perfect. The jacket is not waterproof, but its material dries quickly after getting wet. The only downside is that the main zipper is not protected by a fabric flap shielding against wind, water or sand, although the other zippers do have such protection.
Helikon SAS Smock Duracanvas Jacket - Taiga Green
A Smock type jacket in Taiga Green made from Duracanvas material. This fabric is suitable for waxing waterproofing, which enhances protection against rain, moisture, and increases resistance to abrasion. This model is inspired by jackets used by the SAS units of the British Army. The loose fit allows wearing multiple layers of clothing.
8 spacious pockets
The Smock is equipped with 8 spacious pockets, including 2 diagonal cargo pockets on the chest, fastened with Canadian buttons, and 2 hip pockets with a nylon mesh. Each chest pocket has a special loop for attaching smaller equipment, preventing it from being lost. Additional paracord loops are located on both edges of the jacket.
two-way zip and adjustable hood
The jacket fastens with a two-way zip. The lightweight hood can be adjusted in 2 planes, allowing it to fit the head regardless of weather conditions or type of hat worn.
elastic drawstrings and vents
Two drawstrings located at the waist and lower edge of the jacket help adjust the circumference and protect against wind. Vents under the arms ensure good air circulation.

I'm giving my review after a year of use. The material is pleasant to the touch, the pockets are a great size and there are plenty of them, and the Velcro and zippers still work perfectly. I also like that the main zipper goes up very high, which means wind doesn't blow onto your neck. If I have to point out any negatives, the hood seems too big if you put it on suddenly without properly adjusting it. Additionally, where the elastics and drawstrings are at the waist and bottom of the jacket, the material wrinkles and loses colour, starting to fade. Without heating, the jacket is suitable for spring and autumn, but in winter you need to wear a fleece underneath, otherwise it's too cold.

Very good jacket when paired with a thin fleece. On warmer days, the jacket alone is enough. It handles light rain well (water runs off the surface). The sizing is unusual, at 170 cm and 108 kg I had to exchange for a 2XL, although usually I wear XL (interestingly, the XL Pilgrim anorak fits me perfectly).

The jacket was bought a few months ago and is very well made. Combined with a fleece, it works well both in mild frosts and in transitional periods. It protects well against wind. If it had a removable lining, it would be perfect. The pockets are very roomy. I recommend it to those who like this style.

After a long search, I found a model that not only stands out with its deep black colour, but is also very functional: large and spacious pockets, adjustable hood and width, low weight and great freedom of movement while wearing. The jacket copes well with light rain, it doesn't soak through immediately, and the additional ventilation openings under the arms are helpful during warmer rainfalls. I'm very happy with this purchase.

After reading so many reviews and watching videos on YouTube, it's hard to add anything… I'm very pleased with my purchase. The jacket meets my expectations both in terms of functionality and appearance. Highly recommended!

After two attempts with the Pilgrim model, I finally found a Helikon jacket from the Bushcraft series in size 3XL, suitable for a person with a massive build. The jacket is very well made and thoughtfully designed. The fit and colour (earth brown) work well both in the forest and on the street. I recommend it not only for people with fuller figures.

Fantastic jacket! Great look, cut and practical pockets. The Canadian buttons are very sturdy, and the numerous pockets and loops make it easy to organise your gear. The DWR coating effectively protects against water. One of the best jackets I've used during forest trips.

I bought the jacket after previously buying trousers made from the same material. The jacket is very nice, but the lower vertical zipped pockets are not convenient for me; the problem disappears when I use the buttoned pockets. I also wish there were larger sizes, as I would definitely buy a bigger one. Despite that, I really like the jacket overall and recommend it.

The jacket was tested immediately after purchase and is perfect for the transitional periods. Very practical thanks to the large number of spacious pockets and roomy hood, which easily fits a hat underneath. I recommend this model.

The jacket is made from a thin material, without insulation, making it perfect as an outer layer. After using an impregnating spray, it copes well with light rain. I've been using it all year round and so far there are no signs of wear. I recommend it.

I'm a fan of Helikon clothing, but this jacket slightly let me down. While the workmanship is solid, the colour is nice, and the pockets are very capacious. Unfortunately, the pocket fastenings seem too large, the buttons are a bit too loosely sewn (they are durable but stick out), and the hood is, in my opinion, too loose and more often gets in the way than helps, especially as the jacket poorly protects against wind and rain without additional impregnation. It's not bad, but I expected more at this price.

Nice jacket. I bought it with the trousers I had purchased earlier in mind and they look good together. The jacket has plenty of practical pockets which will definitely come in handy. I wish it were a bit bigger, but I already have the largest size. I still need to impregnate it. Matches the description. The instructional video was helpful. Recommend.

I recommend this jacket – although not necessarily for winter, it will be ideal for other seasons. It is very comfortable, has plenty of pockets, drawstrings, and vents. A wide choice of colours. Maybe I’ll even give up my bag and carry everything in the jacket pockets. I'm bored with M65 jackets, and this Smock is a perfect hit. It would be great if in the next season a smock-style jacket with winter insulation appeared.

In black, it is an ideal low-profile urban jacket. It doesn't stand out as much as in green or brown. The large number of pockets makes it convenient to carry EDC items in an urban environment.
