While looking for insulated trousers, I came across this model. In my opinion, they don't work best in sub-zero temperatures; I felt cold. However, for everyday use, they are excellent – very comfortable, with interesting features. I recommend them, but not for very cold weather.
Helikon-Tex OTP VersaStretch Trousers - Crimson Sky/Black
Outdoor Tactical Trousers are the modern version of the popular UTP (Urban Tactical Trousers) model. Unlike UTP trousers, the OTP variant is made from fabric utilizing 4-Way Elastic technology, offering flexibility in all directions, quick drying, shape retention, as well as lightweight and breathability. The addition of Teflon in the fabric increases resistance to dirt and stains. Thanks to the thoughtful arrangement of numerous pockets, the trousers are perfect for urban environments as well as outdoor activities.
Above-average freedom of movement and durability
A great combination of military and civilian clothing features â discreet cut while maintaining the functionality of cargo trousers.
Innovative design, carefully planned seams, and high-quality fabric guarantee exceptional freedom of movement and durability.
10 spacious pockets
The trousers feature ten pockets:
- two classic mesh pockets on the hips with reinforced edges
- four on the thighs (two large mesh pockets with zippers and two narrower ones with Velcro closures)
- four located at the back (two large mesh pockets and two narrower internal ones)
Additionally, at knee level, inside the legs, there are pockets that allow for the insertion of protective pads.
Easy fit of the trousers to the figure
Instead of a button, a wide Velcro strap is used, allowing for a 6 cm waist adjustment. Additionally, an elastic band is sewn into the waist, ensuring a better fit to the body.
The two front belt loops have additional loops at the bottom, allowing for the attachment of accessories such as a carabiner.

Helikon-Tex OTP are very well designed and well made. I have 2 pairs now, 1 smoke grey and 1 black. They are fairly discreet and don't look too much like fatigues. The pockets are very well thought out, secure and perfectly positioned. They will take a large phone like a Samsung S25+ easily and hold it very securely and close to your thigh so it doesn't bang around your knees in dynamic situations unlike typical cargo pants or tradesman trousers. Also the small pockets on the edge of the rear pockets are perfect for quick access to a tac-light or SAK. The 4-way stretch material is quality, it dries fast and does not restrict movement but also not baggy. Big belt loops but the waistband and fastener mean you don't need a belt to hold them up, but good if you want to hang stuff off a belt. Highly recommend these. 175cm tall, 80kg, I'm a 32R in jeans. I have the L-regular and they are ideal, these would still be OK if you're a 34" and 180 tall.

These trousers are perfect for outdoor activities. They fit well, and the flexible material provides comfort and freedom of movement. With one layer underneath, they perform well in sub-zero temperatures, around -5 degrees. Size M fits perfectly for someone who is 180 cm tall, has a waist circumference of 90 cm, hips of 100 cm, and weighs 78 kg. I definitely recommend them.
-
Great trousers, the size matches the description, they are very comfortable and practical. This is already the fifth pair from this line that I own. The material is flexible and breathable. They work well both in summer and winter, although on colder days it's worth wearing thermal underwear underneath.

The trousers are light, flexible and very comfortable. They work perfectly both outdoors and for everyday wear when you want to opt for a more relaxed outfit. I already have three different versions of this model and I definitely recommend them.
-
The trousers are well cut, light and comfortable, they don't restrict movement – exactly what I was looking for. The pockets are practically designed, so everything is at hand and you can fit a lot in them.
-
These trousers are lightweight and flexible, providing freedom of movement and comfort when worn. They have as many as 10 pockets where you can store your phone, tools or small items. They dry quickly and are resistant to dirt and minor moisture. They are perfect for walks, outdoor activities and trips, but it is worth paying attention to the size selection, as the material fits the body quite snugly.
-
Wonderful comfortable trousers that are great both for hiking and for the city, quite light, hold moisture well, especially if they are treated, convenient pockets, really great trousers. In my opinion, they have no drawbacks. I recommend them to everyone.
-
The trousers are great – they are light and very comfortable. The stretchy material provides freedom of movement even during intense activity. I appreciate the wide range of sizes. At my height of 180 cm and weight of 85 kg, size L fits perfectly.
-
Very comfortable trousers, they fit great at the waist thanks to the elastic, have sturdy belt loops and practical, spacious pockets which are not too large. The downside is the mesh in the pocket at crotch level – if you wear only underwear under the trousers, it can be uncomfortable for the skin.
-
Great tactical trousers, made from flexible material that does not restrict freedom of movement. They have plenty of pockets, wide belt loops, and come in different colours. The only difficulty may be finding the right size. These are some of the best trousers both for tactical use and mountain expeditions.
-
The trousers are very comfortable and fit well. With a height of 180 cm and a weight of 92 kg, size L fits perfectly. Thanks to the elastic bands at the waist, it's worth adding about 2 cm to the given measurement. The pockets are arranged practically, and the phone fits without any problem. I definitely recommend them.
-
Very good trousers. They are well made and light. The pockets are arranged in a practical way. I am 175 cm tall, I chose size M and it fits perfectly. The shop, as always, at the highest level – express delivery. I definitely recommend it.
-
Great trousers. I am 191 cm tall, weigh 102 kg, size XL fits perfectly. The trousers are extremely flexible and lightweight. The pockets are designed to be very functional. Top quality.

Good day, the OTP trousers are great – they fit well and adapt to the figure. The material is stretchy, so it doesn't restrict movement, although it rustles a bit when walking. The pockets seem to be arranged similarly to the UTP model, which I have been using for a long time. The front, longitudinal thigh pocket is large enough to easily fit a bigger smartphone (in the older UTPs, this was a problem). The sizing is fine – XXL long fits a person 186 cm tall with a waist circumference of 104 cm. Thank you.
