Very good material and careful workmanship. The price is also quite affordable. It's important to choose the right size. Overall, I recommend it to anyone considering purchasing.
Helikon MBDU NyCo Rip-Stop Trousers - MM14
The MBDU (Modern Battle Dress Uniform) model in MM14 camouflage features 8 functional pockets. It is perfect for both tactical and outdoor wear in the field and for everyday urban use.
Durable Rip-Stop reinforced fabric, VersaStretch material
The trousers are made from high-quality fabric with a weight of 225 g/m2, consisting of an equal blend of cotton and nylon. The Rip-Stop weave enhances resistance to abrasions and damage, while thicker threads create a reinforcing grid that reduces the risk of tears spreading. This makes the trousers ideal for demanding field conditions, ensuring durability and comfort. Additionally, the VersaStretch material has been incorporated in the seat and crotch area to improve flexibility and provide greater freedom of movement.
8 practical pockets
The model is equipped with 8 spacious pockets:
- two inset hip pockets with reinforced edges
- two rear pockets with reinforced edges
- two spacious cargo pockets secured with buttons
- two smaller calf-height pockets secured with Velcro
YKK zip, adjustable waistband and leg cuffs, wide belt loops
Instead of a button, the model features a wide Velcro fastener, allowing precise adjustment of the waistband to fit the body. The opening is fitted with a durable zip from the renowned Japanese brand YKK. Wide belt loops accommodate belts up to 50 mm wide, ensuring stability even under heavy loads. Two front loops also include attachment points for securing small accessories. At the bottom of the pant legs, elastic drawcords with stoppers allow for width adjustment.

mm14 Camouflage
The name MM-14 is an abbreviation for маскувальний малюнок (maskuvalʹnyy malyunok = camouflage pattern) and the year 2014, when the camouflage was officially approved. The pattern refers to the American UCP camouflage, but the selected shades match the colors naturally found on Ukrainian territory. The introduction of the MM-14 camouflage pattern was an important part of the Ukrainian army's reform to break with post-Soviet identification. Unofficially, MM14 camouflage also goes by the names Ukrainian Pixel Camo and Ukrainian Digital Camo.

Good product. There are many positive things to say about these trousers – I’ll try to be brief. They have a well-fitted, but not too tight cut, and very spacious cargo pockets that can hold even larger items. The pockets are positioned higher, so their contents don’t get in the way when wearing the trousers. There are also reinforcements at the spots designed for attaching clips. At the back, the trousers have two magazine pockets, and under the knees you can find additional pockets, while at the bottom of the legs there are elastic drawstrings. Double belt loops and the use of VersaStretch elastic material in the crotch area and at the back under the waist are, in my opinion, excellent solutions. The trousers fasten with a zip and Velcro, which is convenient, although I’m not sure how long the Velcro will remain durable. The price is quite high for the "Multicam" version, but thanks to a special offer, it was better value to buy. The workmanship is of a very high standard, I have no complaints at all.

There’s a lot of positive things to say about these trousers – I’ll try to keep it short. They have a well-fitted but not too tight cut and very spacious cargo pockets that can hold even larger items. The pockets are set higher up, so their contents don’t get in the way when you’re wearing them. There are also reinforcements in places intended for attaching clips. At the back, the trousers have two magazine pockets, under the knees you’ll find more pockets, and at the ends of the legs there are elastic drawstrings. Double belt loops and the use of elastic VersaStretch material in the crotch and at the back under the waistband are, in my opinion, great solutions. The trousers are fastened with a zip and velcro, which is convenient, but I’m not sure how long the velcro will last. The Multicam version is quite expensive, but thanks to a promotion, the purchase was more affordable. The workmanship is of a very high standard, I have no complaints.

These are yet another pair of Hel Icon trousers that I own – they are solidly made, very well designed, and I bought them again without hesitation. They work great for work, but I also wear them every day around the city. The colour is fine, and the pocket placement is a big plus. The promotional price is excellent.

Hello everyone. I believe this product is timeless – I've had my first pair of these trousers for many years, and only now, when they've faded slightly, have I decided to buy a new pair. I've noticed that the material used seems a bit more modern, so time will tell if it proves to be just as durable. At present, I can confidently recommend it, as it's worth making this purchase – especially since prices have recently returned to levels from a few years ago, which is an added bonus 😀

These ripstop combat trousers are breathable and simple – today I put them on at 5°C and immediately felt the chill ;) Compared to standard BDUs, the legs here are noticeably narrower (regular fit), and the velcro, just like in the UTP model, allows you to adjust the waist more precisely. The flexible panels known from the MCDU greatly improve comfort and fit to the body, and for people passionate about shooting or airsoft, they add points for the "tactical" aspect. The hip pockets are made of mesh and are quite shallow – there are also two small pockets, e.g. for a magazine. The cargo pockets on the thighs hold a lot, but the two-button closure might not guarantee that small items won’t fall out during intensive movement – it’s worth keeping this in mind. The velcro calf pockets are much roomier than in the SFU Next; although I haven’t personally used them, for those interested, they’re available. There are no back pockets (??) If the trousers are on promotion and you can use KSK points, I recommend them. The manufacturer’s regular price is significantly overpriced.
