Helikon Low Profile Protective Pad Inserts - Black

The inserts are mainly used to improve comfort when kneeling, rather than for actual protection against injuries, although it's better to have them in case of a fall than not ;) They do not provide ventilation, so your knees will sweat on warmer days. Putting them into the pockets of UTP trousers is a bit difficult.

These are my first knee pads, so I'm not an expert. It takes a bit of effort to put them on properly over your knees. Walking with them feels a bit unusual—you can feel their weight, although it's minor. However, when kneeling, they're very comfortable and serve their purpose well.

Switching from standing to kneeling, even on a hard floor, hardly causes any discomfort. Once they protected me from an injury at work. They are a bit difficult to insert and it takes time to get them to sit well, but it's really worth it.

Standard foam protectors. Suitable for basic knee protection and fit Helikon trousers well. Unfortunately, they absorb water easily and in hot weather your knees will sweat.

The inserts fit great in Helikon UTP trousers, and after a slight trim – even better. They don't move during work, so there's no need to adjust them before kneeling. The foam is the right thickness, providing comfort but not getting in the way.

The pads are very useful. They arrive quite large, so you can easily trim them to fit your own trousers. They fit perfectly into Helikon UTP trousers, and their thickness is a good compromise between functionality and appearance.

The inserts are really great. Thanks to the appropriate thickness they provide comfort when kneeling, which is important with my injured knee. Additionally, they do not stand out, even when you're just wearing the trousers. I recommend them to everyone.

6 mm neoprene inserts are a proven choice for the shooting range and climbing. Their universal fit for various trouser models is an asset – they are really comfortable and practical.

If you have Helikon trousers compatible with these inserts, it's worth considering a purchase – your knees will definitely be grateful. However, keep in mind that they are quite thin, so on very uneven ground they might not provide full protection.

The pads are made of 6-mm neoprene and have a layer of nylon on the side facing the skin, so they don't cause chafing. After trimming, they fit many brands of trousers and can be used for knees or elbows. Very easy to use.

If you have Helikon trousers compatible with the inserts, there's nothing to think about – your knees will be grateful. I use them in my Pilgrim trousers and I'm very satisfied. Comfort working in the field has clearly improved. They are not too thick, but they do their job. Really worth it.

Very good, solid quality pads, although they don't fit Pentagon trousers perfectly. They are thick, lightweight and do their job well.

I tested them with both Helikon trouser models – CPU and SFU. After proper trimming, they fit both. They are not particularly thick but significantly improve kneeling comfort.

Exceptionally comfortable, low-profile inserts. I bought them for MBDU trousers and although their shape doesn't quite fit this model (rectangular inserts would be better), they fit perfectly in M-Tac Aggressor trousers. The only downside is poor ventilation, which makes it warm – but you can fix this by making perforation holes, as in other insert models.
