Helikon Level 7 Climashield Apex 100 g Jacket - Flecktarn

A winter light jacket in Flecktarn camouflage that provides excellent insulation and protection against the cold even in very low temperatures. The synthetic insulation Climashield Apex retains its properties even when wet, and the outer material with Rip-Stop weave enhances tear resistance. This model is designed according to the ECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System) and serves as the essential, insulating layer of clothing for harsh weather conditions. The jacket is equipped with a concealed hood and spacious pockets.

The jacket features lightweight synthetic insulation Climashield Apex with a grammage of 100 g/m2, ensuring warmth even in freezing weather. The insulation remains functional despite moisture, dries quickly, and is easy to compress into the included compression sack. The outer material is 100% Nylon with Rip-Stop weave, improving resistance to damage and tears. An additional teflon coating makes the jacket resistant to light rain and dirt.

The jacket is equipped with a total of 5 spacious pockets:

• two fleece-lined chest pockets with YKK zip, featuring compartments for a phone or small electronic accessories
• one internal pocket on the left side at chest height with a zip closure
• two internal lower mesh pockets for quick drying of wet items

The sleeves feature elastic cuffs fastened and adjustable with Velcro, allowing for adjustment according to the number of clothing layers worn.

The jacket is equipped with a adjustable hood, compatible with helmets and caps. The hood is concealed in a collar fastened with a double zipper. The jacket is fastened along its full length with a double-sided YKK zipper, facilitating access to items on the belt without fully unzipping it. On the shoulders, there are Velcro panels for attaching patches, emblems or Morale Patches. Elastic drawstrings with stoppers in the lower hem of the jacket ensure a better fit and prevent heat loss.

Flecktarn is a classic German military camouflage pattern, officially introduced for use by the Bundeswehr in 1990. The pattern is based on small, irregular spots in five colors – typically dark green, olive, brown, black and beige. With the distribution of numerous dots and blurred boundaries between the colors, Flecktarn effectively distracts from the wearer's silhouette in forest terrain, as well as in scrubland or against the background of forest undergrowth. The camouflage was designed for European climatic conditions, especially for the temperate zone. To this day, Flecktarn remains a standard pattern used by the German army, other military and police officers. Its effectiveness has led to numerous variants and adaptations in other countries.
