Very satisfied with the purchase of this jacket. It is very comfortable, lightweight and warm. I got a bit confused when choosing the size. The manufacturer uses two scales, American and European. The website does not mention this. The size chart seems to be American. I am 176 cm tall and weigh 86 kg. Size L suited me perfectly (American S). You can wear a fleece as a second layer underneath.
Helikon Level 7 Climashield Apex 100 g Jacket - Alpha Green
A winter light jacket in Alpha Green colour that provides excellent insulation and protection against the cold even in very low temperatures. The synthetic insulation Climashield Apex retains its properties even when wet, and the outer material with Rip-Stop weave enhances tear resistance. This model is designed according to the ECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System) and serves as the essential, insulating layer of clothing for harsh weather conditions. The jacket is equipped with a concealed hood and spacious pockets.
Climashield Apex insulation and outer material
The jacket features lightweight synthetic insulation Climashield Apex with a grammage of 100 g/m2, ensuring warmth even in freezing weather. The insulation remains functional despite moisture, dries quickly, and is easy to compress into the included compression sack. The outer material is 100% Nylon with Rip-Stop weave, improving resistance to damage and tears. An additional teflon coating makes the jacket resistant to light rain and dirt.
Spacious pockets and Velcro-fastened cuffs
The jacket is equipped with a total of 5 spacious pockets:
- two fleece-lined chest pockets with YKK zip, featuring compartments for a phone or small electronic accessories
- one internal pocket on the left side at chest height with a zip closure
- two internal lower mesh pockets for quick drying of wet items
The sleeves feature elastic cuffs fastened and adjustable with Velcro, allowing for adjustment according to the number of clothing layers worn.
Concealed hood, Velcro panels and elastic drawstrings
The jacket is equipped with a adjustable hood, compatible with helmets and caps. The hood is concealed in a collar fastened with a double zipper. The jacket is fastened along its full length with a double-sided YKK zipper, facilitating access to items on the belt without fully unzipping it. On the shoulders, there are Velcro panels for attaching patches, emblems or Morale Patches. Elastic drawstrings with stoppers in the lower hem of the jacket ensure a better fit and prevent heat loss.

Bought helikon TEX level 7 I have already used it in cold weather at night at -7°C, wearing two layers, a T-shirt and the Level 7 jacket. It was warm, light, and comfortable. Looks stylish and modern. Very ergonomically designed, 5 stars.

First-class jacket. I usually wear size L / 50/52, at 183cm and 81kg and slim, and the size L fits perfectly (I have other jackets and trousers from Helikon, and the size always fits!). It was a bit fiddly to get the jacket into the compression sack, but it worked. You can still fit a jumper or fleece underneath without it feeling tight. The pockets and hood with internal adjustment work great, and the collar doesn't constrict, but fits comfortably. The jacket rustles a bit more than the British reversible thermal jacket I bought second-hand, but that's not RipStop material and is a bit thinner. Conclusion: Once again, an excellent performance from HelikonTex. My absolute recommendation, especially at this price here on Militär.eu.!!!

The jacket is really warm and very comfortable, but I am disappointed with some of the finishing details. After a short period of use, the cord with a plastic tip at the zip, which helped with fastening, broke off. For this price I expected better quality and durability.

I used this jacket for one season and it keeps you warm while still being surprisingly light. Its style is very practical, letting you comfortably wear various things underneath.

I bought the jacket in June, so it hasn't been tested in winter yet, but after a short time wearing it over a T-shirt I could feel it was very warm – I had to take it off quickly. It seems to be a great choice; the quality and thermal properties are at a high level. Adjustable hood, pockets on both sides and at the back. At 186 cm and 90 kg, I chose size M and I'm happy – it fits nicely, not too loose, with enough room for a uniform underneath without extra gear. The only thing is that the sleeves could be a bit longer.
-
This is the perfect jacket. I think the price matches its quality. I wear it every day and there are no signs of use. I highly recommend it.
-
Outstanding jacket – light and at the same time retains heat perfectly. All you need is a thicker fleece underneath and you can survive even very cold nights. At around zero degrees I didn't need an extra layer. I highly recommend it.
-
Good, warm, extremely light, and comfortable jacket. The quality for the price is really excellent. I would only like the patches on the sleeves to be better. The jacket rustles a little loudly.
-
A fantastic, warm jacket from a Polish company that has never let me down. I have lots of Helikon clothing and each one performs excellently – they are comfortable and durable. This jacket is solid, very warm, and the zips work flawlessly. Fully worth its price.

The price may seem high, but the jacket provides excellent protection against severe frost – once you put it on, you’ll understand what you are paying for. Brilliant insulation – even at -5°C it gets too warm with just a T-shirt underneath. Be mindful of sizing: follow what you wear in other Helikon products. A minor flaw is the fleece trim on the chest pockets – it’s hard to take things out when wearing gloves. Pocket zip pulls could be better. The style is simple, but I don’t buy these jackets for show, but for cold weather – definitely recommended.

Because of the price, I hesitated for a long time before buying. First, I bought the Level 2 hoodie and Liberty fleece – they worked well, so I decided on the Level 7 jacket in the same size. The manufacturer has really thought through the layered clothing system, and each layer is appropriately larger so as not to restrict movement. The jacket itself is excellent: light, warm, loose (also for slightly bigger people), does not restrict movement, and fits well at the neck—nothing presses. The product is definitely worth its price.

The Helikon jacket is a reliable choice for those who value comfort and functionality in various conditions. Its modern look combines user comfort with practicality, offering freedom of movement and all-day convenience. High-quality materials ensure durability, and the abundance of pockets and details means it’s perfect for any trip. Helikon never lets its users down.
-
Great jacket, tested during an expedition. It protects very well against the cold, and combined with thermal clothing it can do even more. The large inner pockets easily hold a hat and gloves, still leaving some room. Another plus is the two-way zip.
-
The jacket performed brilliantly during a whole day spent outdoors at around +2/3°C with strong wind. Thermal underwear, a T-shirt and this jacket were enough – I didn't feel cold even once. It's warm and doesn't restrict your movements, which is important when shooting or working with weapons. Highly recommended, the jacket is definitely worth its price. Helikon is a guarantee of quality. If you're looking for a warm jacket for winter, this model will meet your expectations.
