Helikon Folding Outdoor Cap - Olive Green

If you value practical solutions, you will definitely be satisfied with this cap. Good quality, it looks great and you don't have to worry about losing it, because once you take it off you can easily put it in your pocket.

I have mixed feelings. This is another Helikon cap model and again I think this company doesn’t know how to make them. Softshell is suitable for cooler days, but it’s less warm than a classic cap. It looks more civilian, but the large hook-and-loop panels are completely unnecessary and easily get damaged and bobbled when coming in contact with hard Velcro. On the plus side – there’s a mesh under the front panel, as Helikon usually doesn’t put any lining there, while in other (often cheaper) brands it’s standard. As usual with Helikon – the product is nicely finished, which makes you want to wear it straight away, becoming your favourite cap right from the start. Waterproof and quite civilian, although I’m knocking off two stars due to the unfortunate Velcro.

The product looks nice and is well made. The cap is rather compact in size, so for larger heads (59/60) it may seem a bit small, although it does not press. The Velcro allows for a wide range of adjustment. I cannot comment on the durability of the folding yet because I have not used it long enough. Delivery was very fast.

Advantages (objective): the insulation does its job, and the cap folds well. Disadvantages (objective and subjective): insulation is only at the front, the cap is quite shallow and looks a bit strange on the head.

It's even warm.

This is another cap for my collection. The black one met my expectations, and this one is also very good.

I bought the black and olive versions. The cap is more suitable for spring or autumn. I used the green one often and the material faded after sweating. The Velcro also changed colour after washing and exposure to sunlight. Apart from that, the product is well made and there are no other problems.

Very good product, which I can confirm after almost a year of use. The foldable peak is really a great solution, big plus for such a patent. Overall, the cap is absolutely fine.

The cap is quite shallow, slips off the head and has insulation only at the front. It's suitable rather only for spring, not for autumn or winter.

Great cap. It is much warmer than it seems when you hold it in your hand. The front is lined with a material resembling microfibre, which provides extra insulation.

Thanks to the foldable peak, it easily fits in your pocket, it is warm, looks good, and on top of that, it comes from a Polish brand.

The cap only has insulation at the front, but you can always wear a hood so your head doesn't get cold. It's great that the cap can be folded up and put in the pocket of a Helikon jacket.

The cap is nice and comfortable to use. We will see how it performs in winter. I recommend it.
