Ultralight hat created from a combination of polyester, cotton, and elastane, known for quick-drying and lightweight properties, features four ventilation holes equipped with mesh protecting against insects. The wide brim offers excellent protection against the sun and rain. The Mk2 model has been enhanced with a cord that allows length adjustment, which can be fastened under the chin.
Above the brim, a tape is placed, allowing the attachment of small items (such as insect repellent or camouflage elements). The interior of the hat contains a reflective layer, which in emergency situations allows for user marking or position signalling. The hat is also equipped with a special loop for attaching to a Helikon Raid shirt.
The use of a material blend and a comfortable fit make the hat ideal for both everyday use and various activities or outdoor and survival expeditions.

Rhodesian Camo is a classic camouflage pattern developed in the 1960s for the Rhodesian Armed Forces (today's Zimbabwe). Created for wartime operations during regional conflicts, particularly the so-called Bush War (1964–1979), it was adapted to the conditions of southern Africa - dry bush, grassy plains, and low vegetation. This pattern is distinguished by a unique hand-painted appearance resembling brush strokes. It consists of irregular, horizontal shapes in shades of green and brown, placed on a light green or sandy background. The three-colour, contrasting palette and arrangement resembling natural environmental elements - such as leaves, branches, and grasses - make the camouflage effectively disperse the silhouette contour and complicate its detection in densely vegetated landscapes.

For a long time I considered buying this hat and eventually decided to go for it. Inside, there is a mesh lining in a vibrant orange colour – it can serve both as a signalling element and as a pocket. Additionally, there are hook-and-loop fasteners on the back and top. There is a thin fleece band sewn in at forehead level. The hat itself is not very deep, but the brim is a suitable size and not too small. A big plus is also the highly visible, distinctive camouflage.

The hat is well made and fits nicely, which is standard for Helikon. It is very comfortable to wear. It's a shame there isn't a cap in this camouflage. The product meets expectations, I can confidently recommend it.

The hat is comfortable and not too large, which is a big plus. It also has excellent ventilation. It is perfect for hiking in the mountains or during activities in the forest. I definitely recommend it.

Once again, Helikon-Tex products have not disappointed me. The hat has an interesting style. The XL size fits my larger head very well, although in my opinion it could be a bit deeper. Huge plus to Helikon for high quality and a rich choice of colours, and to Militaria.pl for the fast and efficient delivery – the package arrived just a few hours after the purchase.

This is my first hat in a long time. It is well made. It has a cord that can be tightened at the back of the head to keep it secure and prevent it from falling off. If your size is on the borderline, I recommend choosing the larger size. For a head circumference of 56 cm, I chose size M. I bought two hats – one in multicam version, but this second one fits better. If you're hesitating between this hat and the MK1, I recommend choosing this model.

The hat is very comfortable, which is especially important in summer when you sweat. It doesn't press on the head, fits well, and looks aesthetically pleasing. Overall, it's a well-thought-out product. In this camouflage pattern, it performs better than military equipment from the Ministry of National Defence.

The Helikon Boonie Mk2 hat fully met my expectations and perfectly complements a uniform in Rhodesian brushstroke camouflage. I consider it a plus that Helikon developed its own cut instead of copying the American boonie hat. The brim is the perfect width. The chin cord can be easily removed and reattached if necessary. Inside, there is a bright orange fabric sewn in, which can be used for signalling in emergencies. Velcro panels on the back and top allow for personalisation. Excellent product, really worth recommending.

The latest hat from Helikon offers improvements over the previous boonie hat model, which have been described in the product description. Additionally, new colour variants and camouflage versions have been introduced.

The boonie has the perfect width, the hat is extremely light, and the Duck Hunter camouflage looks excellent. Helikon has done a great job here – in my opinion, even better than the American counterparts, and it also has an internal signal panel. I definitely recommend it.

This is a refreshed version of the previous model – an interesting idea. The introduction of this model has resulted in a wide range of colours and camouflage patterns, including, finally, Rhodesian camo and Pencott Wildwood. The price may seem high, but it is worth paying for good quality, as cheap things are bought twice.

Great hat for outdoor wear. It effectively protects both the face and neck from the sun. The material and workmanship are really of a high standard. It's definitely worth trying out.
