An interesting gadget, but it is made of rigid plastic which only fits flat surfaces. The Velcro holds quite well, but for example on a backpack where the surface is slightly curved, the edges stick out a bit. It doesn't mean it's easy to lose, but it doesn't look great. I wouldn't choose to attach it to a uniform or sleeve.
