CAT type training tourniquet used by the emergency services, police, military and fire brigade. It is used to practice stopping haemorrhage from a severely injured limb or limb stump in cases of amputation where a tourniquet is insufficient.
The stance is fully adjustable, so it will be suitable for any arm or leg circumference. The model fastens with a strong Velcro fastener and is fitted with a plastic 'restraint'. The inner side is covered with a soft material to protect the skin from abrasion. A white piece of material has been sewn onto the restraint lock to record the time the stasis was applied.
The brace is designed for quick application to the upper and lower limbs, even directly by the injured person with one hand.
