CCE Camouflage (Camouflage Centre Europe) is the standard camouflage pattern used by the French armed forces since 1991. It is characterized by irregular patches in three main colors: black, brown, and green, placed on a beige background, resembling natural forest environments. This pattern was mainly inspired by the forest surroundings of Fontainebleau, aiming to provide effective camouflage in diverse Central European terrains.
Besides France, CCE is also used by the Austrian military. This pattern replaced the previous TAP 47 camouflage and olive uniforms, offering better visual penetration in wooded areas.
