Multifunctional multitool equipped with 17 full-size and most necessary tools. The operation of the combos is based on the patented Compound Leverage mechanism, which, with the help of gears, improves and strengthens their operation, allowing one-handed operation.

The skeleton and tools are made of stainless steel and heat-treated to give optimal hardness and strength. This is the first model among SOG products equipped with a built-in corkscrew.

The advantage of the tool is convenient access to components without disassembly, allowing quick use of its functions. A magnetic hexagonal bit holder, located in the center of the tool, is built into the model.

A steel clip with the manufacturer's logo allows you to conveniently carry the tool in your pants pocket or clipped to your belt.

SOG

MILITARY is a distributor of SOG.

SOG Specialty Knives & Tools is an American brand that was founded in 1986 by Spencer Frazier, who was inspired by the historic MACV-SOG knife used by special forces during the Vietnam War. The first model, the S1 Bowie, was developed in collaboration with Japanese master blacksmith Ichiro Hattori and quickly gained iconic status among tactical knives. A breakthrough moment in the brand's history was the introduction of the SEAL 2000 knife to the Navy SEALs' equipment - this model can now be seen in the Navy SEALs museum in Fort Pierce. In addition to knives, SOG is also known for its advanced multitools, which use patented Compound Leverage technology - a double pivot system that almost doubles the cutting force of the pliers. The brand's products are distinguished by their solid construction and precision workmanship and are designed for both professional users and outdoor enthusiasts.

I bought this multitool out of curiosity. It's a nice, small gadget, but it also has some drawbacks. I'll start with the advantages: above all, it's very small and light, which makes it suitable for everyday carrying. It's one of the few multitools equipped with a corkscrew, which can be seen as both a plus and a minus, but I'll come back to the downsides later. The tool-opening mechanism works smoothly, which is a plus. Despite its small size, the Phillips screwdriver works well and is comfortable to use. The blade, although seemingly clunky, is sharp enough. The bit holder with the lock is a great idea, especially since it secures the bit well. The stonewash finish is also a plus. The downsides include the cutter for ropes, belts, or cords – it's just dull, and it's difficult to pull out other tools except for the knife. Even though access to the scissors seems simple, in practice they're hard to take out. There's also no full-sized flat screwdriver – just a very small one for glasses or jewelry. You can try to use part of the rope cutter as a flathead screwdriver, but it won't be aligned. The previously mentioned corkscrew is a downside because it negatively affects the comfort of using the tool. In summary, it's a better option than some small multitools, but if someone is thinking about a larger Leatherman or Victorinox, the SOG definitely falls short. On sale, it might still be worth it, but at the regular price, in my opinion, it's not worth buying.

I have always liked Leatherman multitools, but this model really pleasantly surprised me. It is compact and lightweight, yet equipped with many practical functions, carefully crafted pliers, a blade lock, a slot for bits, and a very cleverly designed bottle opener. Additionally, all tools are lockable!
