Durable multitool with Compound Leverage mechanism, which, through the use of gears, increases efficiency and power, allowing for one-handed operation.

Clip-Point blade, CRYO D2 steel, Framelock

Knife features a blade with a Clip-Point profile made from CRYO D2 tool steel, coated with a protective oxidized layer. The steel heat treatment process is carried out according to SOG's unique low-temperature performance specifications. The solid Framelock ensures blade safety in the open position. The blade is opened using the thumb stud and has an assisted opening system.

Stainless steel construction, convenient carrying

The tool's framework is made from stainless steel, subjected to special heat treatment for optimal hardness and durability. The model is equipped with a bit holder, which in the mounted position is secured by a magnet and the multitool's arms. SOG

MILITARY is a distributor of SOG.

SOG Specialty Knives & Tools is an American brand that was founded in 1986 by Spencer Frazier, who was inspired by the historic MACV-SOG knife used by special forces during the Vietnam War. The first model, the S1 Bowie, was developed in collaboration with Japanese master blacksmith Ichiro Hattori and quickly gained iconic status among tactical knives. A breakthrough moment in the brand's history was the introduction of the SEAL 2000 knife to the Navy SEALs' equipment - this model can now be seen in the Navy SEALs museum in Fort Pierce. In addition to knives, SOG is also known for its advanced multitools, which use patented Compound Leverage technology - a double pivot system that almost doubles the cutting force of the pliers. The brand's products are distinguished by their solid construction and precision workmanship and are designed for both professional users and outdoor enthusiasts.

Cryo D2 feature
Cryo D2
D2 CRYO is an improved version of classic D2 steel, subjected to cryogenic treatment, i.e., deep cooling in liquid nitrogen after hardening, which increases its hardness, stability, and wear resistance. The steel stays sharp longer, is more stable, and more resistant to abrasion. After treatment, it achieves a hardness of 61-63 HRC, making it an ideal material for the production of knives that require a precise blade and exceptional durability. The chemical composition of the steel includes carbon (1.4-1.6%), chromium (11-13%), molybdenum (up to 0.8%), vanadium (up to 1%), manganese (up to 1%), and silicon (up to 1%).
Black Oxide feature
Black Oxide
Black Oxide is a chemical conversion process in which a thin layer of magnetite (Fe3O4) is formed on the surface of steel and other ferrous metals. It gives a black, matte appearance, reduces reflectivity, and does not affect the dimensions of the components, so it can also be used in precision parts. The coating provides limited corrosion protection, so it is usually reinforced with oil or wax. Black Oxide is used in knives, firearms, and tools. The process requirements are specified in MIL-DTL-13924, which covers processing grades, color uniformity, and corrosion resistance tests, and is the basic standard for military and technical applications.

Interesting construction, definitely worth trying, as this tool stands out among popular options. The blade is large and functional. The whole thing gives the impression of being durable.

I have mixed feelings. I was tempted by the good reputation for quality, the opening mechanism known from the SOG Terminus, innovative pliers, and the bit mounting method like in the PowerAccess SOG. The attractive price during Black Week was also important—after all the discounts, it came out to 267 PLN, and that's the maximum amount this multitool is worth. The regular price (380 PLN) is definitely too high. The idea behind the assisted pliers and D2 blade is great, but the execution doesn't impress. At first, the blade worked with resistance, and then started to open by itself after unlocking the mechanism—it basically became a spring-assisted knife! I decided not to return it because the lock works well, so accidental opening isn't a risk. Unfortunately, the bit magazine is a dud—it's hard to remove a bit without bending the plastic, which makes the solution weak. The bottle opener also leaves much to be desired—it opens and closes easily, in my opinion too easily. To sum up—SOG Flash MT is not something I would recommend.

The multitool is very practical and original in terms of appearance, which distinguishes it from other tools. It is comfortable to use and well made. I definitely recommend always having it with you, as it can handle any situation.
