Sky-Watcher BKMAK 127 SP telescope Optical tube
The MAK 127 SP telescope is equipped with Maksutov-Cassegrain optics, which are renowned for excellent sharpness and the absence of chromatic aberration. It consists of a meniscus correcting plate, a primary mirror, and a secondary mirror placed on the inner side of the meniscus. This design is effective in urban conditions where the illuminated sky makes it difficult to see faint nebular objects. The telescope is equipped with a 1.25-inch eyepiece focuser, a diagonal of the same size, and two eyepieces.
The Maksutov optical system provides high image sharpness, very good contrast, and minimal chromatic aberrations, making the telescope a valuable tool for both beginner and advanced enthusiasts of night astronomy.
Advanced Maksutov-Cassegrain optical system
The heart of the telescope is the closed Maksutov-Cassegrain optical system, which uses a spherical meniscus corrector made of crown glass, a primary mirror, and a secondary mirror on the inner side of the meniscus. This solution effectively reduces coma, astigmatism, and chromatic aberration, guaranteeing an image of exceptional sharpness and clarity.
The multi-layer anti-reflection coatings enhance light transmission and increase the contrast of the observed image. Thanks to the 127 mm aperture, the telescope gathers about 235 times more light than the human eye, allowing the observation of objects to approximately 12 magnitudes. Optical resolution permits the separation of stars approximately 1.1 arc seconds apart.
Possibility of mounting on a tripod, compact dimensions
The BKMAK 127 SP model is characterized by a compact design, which facilitates transport and storage. Weighing approximately 3.4-3.5 kg, it allows for comfortable use both from balconies and in the field. The construction enables mounting the tube on photographic tripods or astronomical mounts of the AZ4 and EQ3-2 class.
Thanks to the f/11.8 lens speed, the telescope performs excellently during observations of the Moon, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars. The long focal length allows for achieving large magnifications without the need to use very short eyepieces.

MILITARY is a premium dealer of Sky Watcher.
Sky-Watcher is a brand established in 1999 on the initiative of the Taiwanese company Synta Technology Corporation, currently recognized as the world's largest manufacturer of amateur astronomical equipment. The range includes telescopes suitable for various levels of expertise, from simple models for beginners to advanced solutions such as ED refractors, Esprit series astrographs, and Maksutov designs. Dobsonian telescopes are also highly regarded, including flagship models with mirrors up to 16 inches in diameter, as well as precision EQ8 equatorial mounts, which are popular with astrophotography enthusiasts. Since 2008, the company has been developing unique Flex Tube Dobsonian telescopes with a telescopically extendable tube, which have become one of the most recognizable elements of Sky-Watcher's offer in the world of amateur astronomy.
