Good equipment for this price. Cuts efficiently and I hope it will stay sharp for a long time. It even handles thicker pieces of wood, although it takes a bit more time. It bends slightly. I only use one blade setting – the other is not very comfortable for me.

Silky is a Japanese manufacturer of hand saws with a long tradition, dating back to 1919, when Katsuji Miyawaki founded the company in the city of Ono. For over a century, the brand has gained a reputation for reliability and precision, and its tools are distinguished by their exceptional quality. The saws are made of the highest quality steel and undergo impulse hardening technology, which, combined with a design intended for ‘pull’ cutting, ensures smooth operation and precise, clean cuts. In 1980, Silky patented its own saw setting process, which significantly increases the sharpness of the tools – this solution has been used in the 4-Retsume and Miraime2 models, among others. The Japanese manufacturer's solutions are used by professionals around the world: arborists, foresters, carpenters and bushcraft enthusiasts. It is worth mentioning that in 1985, the ‘Gomboy’ model was the first on the market to feature a rubber-coated handle, which contributed to it winning the prestigious Japanese Good Design Award. Thanks to the combination of traditional Japanese craftsmanship and modern technological solutions, Silky has been one of the leading manufacturers of hand saws for years.

Silky F180-14 folding saw - Yellow. Silky cuts even thicker wood, it's a pleasure to watch. However, you need to be careful not to break the blade. Apart from that, it's a 10/10 product.

Something wonderful. Although most of it is made of plastic, even the lock button, the materials are very strong and solid. The Japanese know how to make cheaper equipment that still maintains great quality. The teeth are set densely, which makes cutting comfortable. This is already my third Silky saw and definitely not my last. The design is very ergonomic and lightweight.

Good blade, works great for gardening as well as building a shelter in the field. Easily handles thicker branches and even trunks. The blade is light and compact, easy to hide in your pocket or bag. It has become a permanent part of my gear.
-
Great saw – light and just the right size. It easily handles even thicker pieces of wood. Silky is the highest quality among saws – I have several models and all are reliable, like the Rolls-Royce among saws.
-
Cuts incredibly fast. A good blade does the job, even handles wet wood. It works great for various maintenance jobs in the orchard or garden. The yellow housing is an advantage – it's hard to lose it in the field.
-
Great equipment. The build quality is very high, as is usual with Silky. This is my third folding saw from this brand. Compared to the same red 7.5, it has smaller teeth, which leaves a smoother cut surface.
-
This is my first saw of this category and I was very pleasantly surprised. The speed and quality of the cut for such a small tool are truly impressive. I recommend it to anyone looking for a folding saw for camping or gardening work.
-
It's extremely light, fits well in the hand and cuts excellently – it's a perfect addition to your gear. I think the price for this product and brand is very reasonable. I recommend it!

Great saw, tested many times outdoors. In its current version, it works excellently for dry wood. For very resinous, fresh or wet wood, I recommend buying another blade. The teeth are one-sided, so the saw only cuts on the pull stroke, but it doesn't require much effort. Easily cut logs up to 13 cm in diameter. I recommend it!
-
The three biggest advantages of this saw are: lightness, low price, and sharpness. After a few days of use, I see no drawbacks. It is important to use it as intended and cut only on the pull stroke – otherwise, it is easy to bend or break the blade.
-
Exceptional saw – compact and lightweight. The narrow blade ensures a small kerf and high efficiency. Remember to cut only in your direction, like with Japanese saws, so as not to permanently bend the blade. I highly recommend it.
