The knife/sheath is very sturdy. It's quite heavy, which I believe is a good thing. The raw steel finish adds character. The flat grind that runs about one third of the blade's length makes it great at cutting, even though the blade is rather thick. It's very sharp straight out of the box. Another plus is the band-aid included in the set. The leather sheath looks very nice. The downside is the handle scales, which are rather slippery. I've already bought three of these for friends and everyone is happy with them.
A sturdy knife with Full Tang construction, that is, with the blade shank passing through the entire handle. It will be perfect for preparing meals in the field as well as for everyday use in the kitchen.
The head is made of AUS-8 stainless steel characterized by good sharpness retention and ease of sharpening. The knife can be easily sharpened on virtually any whetstone.
The ergonomically shaped handle is made of durable and aesthetically pleasing Micarta.
The knife comes with a leather holster.
