These socks are not as thick as I thought they would be however they are comfortable up to a distance. Have completed a couple of hiking trails with these socks they kept feet warm and was comfortable up to around 10 mile. But, for the price of these socks I can't complain. Very well priced
Pentagon Alpine Merino Heavy Socks - Black
Black high socks crafted from a warm fabric blend with 40% Merino wool, renowned for its thermoactive characteristics. The wool efficiently wicks moisture and offers antibacterial benefits. The interior features terry cloth material, making these socks perfect for wear during the cooler days of autumn and winter.
Used materials
These socks are crafted from a material blend designed for comfort, durability, and practicality.
- 40% Merino wool – a natural fiber known for its thermoactive and antibacterial features, which efficiently wick moisture and regulate foot temperature.
- 40% acrylic – a synthetic fiber that offers lightness, softness, and strength, helping the socks maintain their shape.
- 17% polyamide – enhances the material's strength, increasing resistance to stretching and wear.
- 3% elastane – ensures elasticity and a snug fit, keeping the socks from slipping during activity.
Anatomic cut, flat seams, reinforcements
The Heavy model is designed with an anatomic cut and elastic inserts situated in the central sole region, providing an excellent fit for the foot. The use of flat seams minimizes the risk of chafing and irritation, making these socks perfect for extended hikes.
To enhance durability in high-wear areas such as the toes and heels, additional reinforcements made of thicker material have been implemented.

The socks are comfortable and keep you fairly warm, although I wouldn't call them truly winter socks. They're quite long, reach up high, but they're rather thin, so they're more suited for the chilly beginnings of autumn than for winter.
-
Excellent socks – despite the name, it can be misleading because although it says heavy, they are not very thick. Merino wool works great on longer routes. In my opinion, they are even suitable for sleeping outdoors, though that is a personal preference.
-
Pentagon socks, even in the heavy version, are not as thick as typical winter socks, but they insulate heat well, feet don't sweat, they don't squeeze the calves, they hold up well and don't slip down. True professionalism.
-
These socks are a great choice for colder days. They are thick, warm, and very comfortable, yet breathe well so your feet don't overheat. Merino wool helps retain warmth even when wet, and the reinforcements make them extremely durable.
-
Warm and comfortable socks for winter. Thanks to the merino wool content, your feet do not sweat or create an unpleasant odor. Express shipping. Best regards!

The product is interesting, but in the photo it’s not visible that the socks are very long – in my case, they are almost knee-highs. It's worth keeping this in mind when purchasing.
-
Very good product from Pentagon, they are thick and very warm, perfect for winter days. With a good pair of shoes, the comfort is very high.
-
For this amount of merino wool, they perform well. Of course, models with higher merino content are even better, but these are excellent for the price.
-
Highly recommend – incredibly comfortable and warm socks for mountain training. The militaria.pl store offers fast shipping and high quality products at a reasonable price for their quality.
-
The socks are comfortable, easy to put on, pleasant to the touch. Thanks to the great cut, they don’t squeeze your legs. They worked even at -3 degrees and at this price they are really worth buying. I recommend them to everyone without hesitation.
-
The socks are well made and really warm. They provide high thermal comfort. Even after several hours of wearing, my feet don't feel tired. They fit well and do not cause discomfort. They are not as thick as terry socks.

I bought the Pentagon Alpine Merino Heavy socks in olive and I am very satisfied with the purchase. The merino wool effectively wicks moisture while keeping you warm on cold days. The socks are comfortable, fit well, and have the right thickness, making them suitable for both outings and everyday use. They are durable, don’t pill, and don’t lose shape after washing. I recommend them to anyone who needs comfortable, practical socks for outdoor activities.

Super socks. Very good quality. Highly recommended. Merino wool works great. Perfect for cold days. Tough conditions are not a problem for our feet.

These are mid-range socks, but they perform very well. They are comfortable to wear, don't chafe or pinch. They wick moisture well and have decent thermal properties. Worth recommending for the price—both the product and the Militaria.pl store.
