This is my first purchase of Merrell shoes and I'm sure it won't be the last. I've been wearing them for two weeks already and there are no signs of wear. I can confirm they are warm – they're probably not suitable for very hot days.

Synthetic leather, mesh material
The upper is made from a combination of synthetic leather and tear-resistant mesh fabric.
Special reinforcements on the upper and in the toe area provide additional protection in rough terrain.
EVA foam insole, Cleansport NXT
The shoes are equipped with a breathable and waterproof membrane. The removable insole is made of 50% recycled EVA foam.
Cleansport NXT is a modern technology that prevents unpleasant odors in footwear. It uses a system of beneficial bacteria that are incorporated into the fabric structure. When they come into contact with sweat, they activate and produce enzymes that eliminate the bacteria responsible for unpleasant odors. This keeps the shoes fresh throughout their entire life cycle, and the bacteria remain on the surface of the material.
Rubber sole, EVA midsole
The Speed Strike 2 features a two-layer EVA foam midsole, which provides maximum support to the foot, stabilizing it perfectly and protecting it from impact.
Stable movement on the terrain is guaranteed by a flexible and abrasion-resistant sole made of durable rubber. It provides great cushioning, and its non-slip texture and deep tread are responsible for very good grip, even on wet or slippery surfaces.
Lacing system, sewn-in tongue
The high sewn-in tongue effectively blocks sand, dust, or other debris from getting inside the shoes, and the lacing system ensures a precise fit. Loops are positioned at the back to facilitate easy putting on and removal of the shoes.

The Merrell Speed Strike 2 LOW - Rock shoes are lightweight, although a bit stiff. The manufacturer recommends them for warmer weather, but I tested them in March during warmer days and they were even a bit too warm for me. I'm curious to see how they perform in the full spring season. As for the quality – as expected from Merrell, they're excellently made, I have no complaints. The insole is very soft, the shoes are comfortable.
